  • Patent number: 11763477
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that determines a distance between a portion (e.g., top) of a person's head and the floor below as an estimate of the person's height. For example, an example process may include determining a first position on a head of a person in a three-dimensional (3D) coordinate system, the first position determined based on detecting a feature on the head based on a two-dimensional (2D) image of the person in a physical environment, determining a second position on a floor below the first position in the 3D coordinate system, and estimating a height based on determining a distance between the first position and the second position.

  • Patent number: 11765707
Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods for conducting multilink communications between a user equipment (UE) device and a remote device over a wireless local area network (WLAN). The UE device periodically transmits communications to the remote device over a first frequency band on the WLAN using a first radio. The UE device may determine to switch from transmitting communications to the remote device over the first frequency band to transmitting said communications over a second frequency band. The UE device then transmits communications to the remote device over the second frequency band on the WLAN.

  • Patent number: 11765698
Abstract: An electronic device that communicates with a second electronic device is described. During operation, an electronic device communicates first messages with the second electronic device in time slots corresponding to first channels in a first band of frequencies using a peer-to-peer communication protocol (such as neighbor awareness networking or NaN), where, in a given time slot, a given first channel in the first band of frequencies is used in the communication of the first messages. Moreover, the electronic device communicates second messages with the second electronic device in the time slots corresponding to second channels in a second band of frequencies using the peer-to-peer communication protocol, where, in the given time slot, a given second channel in the second band of frequencies is used in the communication of the second messages. Note that the communicating of the first messages and the second messages may at least partially overlap in time.

  • Patent number: 11762422
Abstract: An electronic device may have a housing that separates an exterior region from an interior region. The housing may have a front layer on a front face of the housing and a rear layer on an opposing rear face of the housing. Sidewall structures may extend between the front and rear layers. The housing may form a head-mounted housing that is configured to be worn on a user's head. An internal frame may be mounted in the interior region. The internal frame may have a nose bridge structure that is coupled to the housing with a coupling member such as a coupling member formed from an elastomeric vibration damping material. Other portions of the frame such elongated laterally extending support members may not contact any portion of the housing and may therefore be isolated from the housing during drop events.

  • Patent number: 11763558
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods disclosed herein represent existing photo or video content within computer generated reality (CGR) environments. In some implementations, a representation of an existing photo or video is positioned within a CGR environment based on the position of the camera of the existing photo/video at the time the existing photo or video was captured. For example, a user experiencing CGR while walking along a hiking trail may see a floating representation of a photo that the user took on his or her last trip on that hiking trail. The representation may be positioned and oriented in the same position and orientation that the camera was positioned and oriented in when the photo was first captured, e.g., 5 feet above the ground, three feet north of the hiking trail welcome sign. The representation may be a version of the image itself or provide information about the image.

  • Patent number: 11765608
Abstract: An apparatus of a management service equipment includes processing circuitry. To configure the management service equipment for E2E performance measurements in a 5G network with a plurality of network functions (NFs), the processing circuitry is to decode RAN latency received from a RAN within the 5G network. The RAN latency is associated with transmission of an Internet protocol (IP) packet between a UE and a data network (DN) via the RAN. A user plane function (UPF) latency associated with communication of the IP packet between the RAN and a UPF within the 5G network is determined. A DN latency associated with communication of the IP packet between the UPF and the DN is determined. An E2E performance measurement calculation is performed to determine an E2E latency associated with communicating the IP packet between the UE and the DN based on the RAN latency, the UPF latency, and the DN latency.
