Abstract: An encoder is configured to compress point cloud geometry information using an octree geometric compression technique that utilizes node groups. Nodes within a node group are scanned according to a breadth first scan order. Sequential node groups to evaluate may be selected according to a breadth first scan order or a depth first scan order based on whether or not the breadth first scan order or the depth first scan order is indicated in a flag in a preceding node group evaluated. In some embodiments, evaluation orders for node groups may be implicit without being signaled via flags. A decoder is configured to reconstruct a point cloud based on a bit stream encoded by the encoder.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for determining dynamic power sharing in a dual connectivity network. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Abstract: To enable a display to display different content to different viewers, a display may include a time-sequential directional backlight unit. The backlight unit may emit light in different directions in different configurations. In a first state, the backlight unit emits light at maximum brightness in a first direction. In a second state, the backlight unit emits light at maximum brightness in a second direction that is different than the first direction. The backlight unit may repeatedly and rapidly switch between the different states. The first direction may be towards a first viewer whereas the second direction may be towards a second, different viewer. Therefore, each viewer receives backlight in one of the configurations and does not receive backlight in the other configuration. In synchronization with the backlight unit, the liquid crystal display panel may repeatedly switch between displaying content for the first viewer and displaying content for the second viewer.

Abstract: A sensing circuit includes at least a first gain stage and a controller for controlling the operation of the first gain stage. The first gain stage includes an amplifier having at least one input and one output, and a feedback loop coupled between the input and the output of the amplifier. The feedback loop includes a first capacitor coupled between the input and the output of the amplifier, and a second capacitor having a first terminal coupled to the input of the amplifier through a first switch and a second terminal coupled to the output of the amplifier through a second switch. The second capacitor is configured to be coupled in parallel to the first capacitor during a first portion of a measurement cycle, and disconnected from the first capacitor during a second portion of the measurement cycle.
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for signaling unused channel occupancy time (COT) to the gNB for COT sharing among other UEs. Upon determining that a portion of the maximum COT (MCOT) provided to the UE will be unused, the UE can generate COT sharing information for transmission back to the gNB. The COT sharing information identifies a starting point and a duration (e.g., a number of consecutive slots) of the unused portion of the MCOT. This information is then encoded into configured grant uplink control information (UG-UCI) and transmitted to the gNB as part of the uplink transmission. In aspects, the unused portion may begin part-way through a slot. In this instance, a starting symbol of the unused portion or an ending symbol of the used portion may also be encoded into the uplink transmission. In this manner, unused COT is not wasted, but rather repurposed by the gNB.

Abstract: An approach is described for a wireless device comprising a transceiver and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. In a thread-based mesh network, a transmitting device occasionally transmits various multicast messages to the network for the purpose of maintaining the network. Of these messages, the mesh link establishment (MLE) advertisement message is particularly important as it notifies neighbor routers as to the presence and function of the transmitting device. Therefore, the transmitting device of the present disclosure transmits its MLE advertisement message to the network multiple times within a given time window. Additionally, the message is transmitted each time with a same identifier. A recipient device stores the identifier of each most recent MLE advertisement message. The identifier of each subsequently received MLE advertisement is compared to the stored identifier. This allows the recipient device to determine whether the message has been previously received.

The light source module is configured to receive or generate a control signal for adjusting different ones of the illumination elements to control a light field emitted from the light source module. In some embodiments, the light source module is also configured to adjust the projecting lens responsive to objects in an illuminated scene and a field of view of an imaging device. A controller for a light source module may determine a light field pattern based on various parameters including a field of view of an imaging device, an illumination sensitivity model of the imaging device, depth, ambient illumination and reflectivity of objects, configured illumination priorities including ambient preservation, background illumination and direct/indirect lighting balance, and so forth.

Abstract: A system comprises an encoder configured to compress attribute information and/or spatial for a point cloud and/or a decoder configured to decompress compressed attribute and/or spatial information for the point cloud. A point cloud attribute transfer algorithm may be used to determine distortion between an original point cloud and a reconstructed point cloud. Additionally, the point cloud attribute transfer algorithm may be used to select attribute values for a reconstructed point cloud such that distortion between an original point cloud and a reconstructed version of the original point cloud is minimized.

Abstract: A system comprises an encoder configured to compress attribute information and/or spatial information for volumetric visual content and/or a decoder configured to decompress compressed attribute and/or spatial information for the volumetric visual content. The encoder is configured to convert a 3D representation of the visual volumetric content into a 2D image based representation. The encoder is further configured to scale the patch in 2D space independent of any scaling in 3D space. Auxiliary information is signaled for use in identifying 2D scaled or unscaled patches in an image frame, mapping the patches into 3D space, and adjusting for any scaling factors applied at the encoder.

Abstract: A cellular modem processor can include dedicated processing engines that implement specific, complex data processing operations. The processing engines can be arranged in pipelines, with different processing engines executing different steps in a sequence of operations. Flow control or data synchronization between pipeline stages can be provided using a hybrid of firmware-based flow control and hardware-based data dependency management. Firmware instructions can define data flow by reference to a virtual address space associated with pipeline buffers. A hardware interlock controller within the pipeline can track and enforce the data dependencies for the pipeline.
