  • Patent number: 11356352
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for transmitting a message to a user device in accordance with a determination that another device is unreachable over a network. In one example, a server device, at a first location, may identify a controller device resident at a second location, whereby the controller device is configured to communicate with a router at the second location. The server device may also receive a list of user devices. The server device may transmit a ping message to the controller device via the router to determine whether the controller device is unreachable by the server device. The server device may subsequently transmit a message to a user device on the list in accordance with a determination that the controller device is unreachable by the server device, whereby the message includes instructions for the user device to determine whether the controller device is unreachable by the user device.

  • Patent number: 11354033
Abstract: An electronic device displays a plurality of icons in a predefined area on the display, and detects a gesture that includes a contact on a touch-sensitive surface while a focus selector is over a respective icon, and subsequent movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to movement of the focus selector outside of the predefined area. In response to detecting the gesture, if the contact had a maximum intensity during the gesture that was below a respective intensity threshold, the device retains the respective icon in the predefined area after the gesture has ended. But if the contact reached an intensity during the gesture that was above the respective intensity threshold, the device moves the respective icon in accordance with the movement of the contact during the gesture and removes the respective icon from the predefined area after the gesture has ended.

  • Patent number: 11356151
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for multi-TRP by a UE, including out of order delivery of PDSCH, PUSCH, and/or DL ACK/NACK. The UE may receive, from a base station, a configuration that may include multiple control resource set (CORESET) poos and each CORESET pool may be associated with an index value. The UE may determine that at least two DCIs of the multiple DCIs end at a common symbol and determine, based on one or more predetermined rules, when the UE may be scheduled to receive PDSCHs, transmit PUSCHs, and/or transmit ACK/NACKs from CORESETs associated with the at least two DCIs.

  • Patent number: 11356828
Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may receive a narrowband physical downlink control channel (NPDCCH) that includes an uplink scheduling parameter. The UE may determine an uplink scheduling delay for transmission of a narrowband physical uplink shared channel (NPUSCH) in accordance with time-division duplexing (TDD). The uplink scheduling delay may be based on a sum of a predetermined first number of subframes and a variable second number of subframes. The second number of subframes may be based on a window of variable size that starts when the first number of subframes has elapsed since reception of the NPDCCH, and ends when a number of uplink subframes has elapsed since the start of the window. The number of uplink subframes may be indicated by the uplink scheduling parameter.

  • Patent number: 11354390
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to biometric authentication. In one embodiment, a computing device includes a controller circuit, a camera, and a secure circuit. The controller circuit is coupled to a button and detects when the button has been pressed. The camera captures a set of biometric data of a user. The secure circuit performs an authentication of the user by confirming that a notification identifying the button being pressed was received from the controller circuit and by comparing the set of biometric data with another set of biometric data for an authorized user of the computing device. In some embodiments, the controller circuit is configured to maintain a timestamp indicative of when the button has been pressed and usable by the secure circuit to confirm that the button is pressed within a threshold time period of the authentication being performed.

  • Patent number: 11353390
Abstract: A portable communication device includes one or more optical detectors to generate an analog signal in response to a change in an intra-cavity or an emitted optical power of a light source due to light backscattered from a particle and an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC). The particle is illuminated via a light source. The ASIC includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) circuit, a digital delay circuit, a particle detector module and a processor. The ADC converts the analog signal to a digital signal. The digital delay circuit can store the digital signal for a predetermined or dynamically variable time interval. The particle detector module can analyze the digital signal and can generate an enable signal upon detecting a particle signature in the digital signal. The processor is coupled to the digital delay circuit and can start processing the digital signal in response to the enable signal.

  • Patent number: 11356829
Abstract: The described embodiments transfer an activity from a source electronic device to a companion electronic device. The source electronic device receives activity information describing an activity performed in a first application at the source electronic device, determines an activity identifier for the activity information, and broadcasts an activity advertisement comprising the activity identifier. Upon receiving the activity advertisement, the companion electronic device determines whether a second application that is associated with the first application is available at the companion electronic device. If the second application is available, the companion electronic device requests extended activity data from the source electronic device. The source electronic device responds by sending extended activity data from the first application to the companion electronic device.

  • Patent number: 11356138
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to transition of a radio frequency module between a first operating state and a second operating state. The first and second states may be passive/slow (e.g., non-active) states or active/fast states. A passive state may include a sleep state, an idle state, an off state, or a low power state. An active state may include a receiving state or a transmitting state, for receiving and transmitting signals, respectively. If the first operating state is an active state and the second operating state is a passive state, the transition from the first operating state may be delayed such that the radio frequency module transitions directly from the first operating state to a third operating state. This enables the radio frequency module to avoid entering a passive second state with a slow settling time which can interfere with communications and operation of the radio frequency module.

  • Patent number: 11356842
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes first and second subscriber identity modules (SIMs), possibly subscribed to different carriers. When the first SIM is in a connected state and the second SIM is in an idle state, the UE may need to periodically tune away a radio from a first frequency used for communication under the first SIM to a second frequency used for idle mode activity under the second SIM. The UE may provide to the network of the first SIM the second SIMs traffic activity pattern and/or serving frequency so that the network may provide coordinated configuration and/or scheduling for the UE device, e.g., in order to make the action of tuning away (and tuning back) the radio more efficient and/or to decrease the network impact of such radio tune aways (e.g., to decrease wasted uplink scheduling and wasted downlink transmissions for the first SIM).
