  • Patent number: 11184353
Abstract: The embodiments set forth systems and techniques to authenticate a user device for device services, such as by transferring or extending a trusted device status from a separate and trusted associated user device, which can be paired with the user device. This can be done automatically without requiring the user to sign in at or on behalf of the user device, and the automated process can include verifying a trusted status for the associated user device, receiving data items from both devices, evaluating the data items, and facilitating an authentication of the user device when the evaluating returns a favorable result. Data items can include provisioned machine identifiers, temporally limited one-time user passwords, and a provisioned password reset key. Authentication or trusted device status transfer can be achieved by way of an authentication token that is given to the user device.

  • Patent number: 11183155
Abstract: Systems and methods for improving perceived image quality with reduced implementation associated cost and/or improved operational efficiency. A display pipeline includes an input buffer that stores input image data corresponding with an image pixel window, in which the input image data has a first bit-depth and includes image data corresponding with an image pixel in the image pixel window. The display pipeline includes bit-depth adjustment circuitry, which includes a neural network that operates based on a set of bit-depth adjustment parameters to process the input image data to determine whether banding greater than a perceivability threshold is expected to result when the image is displayed directly using the input image data with the first bit-depth and to process the image data corresponding with the image pixel to expand the image data from the first bit-depth to a second bit-depth when the banding visual artifact is greater than the perceivability threshold.

  • Patent number: 11184081
Abstract: An interface circuit in a recipient electronic device (such as a cellular telephone) may provide preference-indication information for an electronic device (such as an access point). Notably, the recipient electronic device may compute preference-indication information associated with the recipient electronic device, where the preference-indication information indicates whether the recipient electronic device prefers that the electronic device use downlink (DL) multi-user (MU) MIMO transmissions when communicating with the recipient electronic device. Then, the recipient electronic device may provide the preference-indication information in a packet or a frame associated with the electronic device. In some embodiments, the recipient electronic device determines a trigger event (such as measuring a motion indication), and the computing may be selectively performed based at least in part on the trigger event.

  • Patent number: 11182980
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for identifying virtual object kits that may be used to generate a target virtual object. In some implementations, a method includes obtaining a plurality of virtual object kits that generate variations of respective virtual object types. Each virtual object kit is associated with a characteristic parameter. For each virtual object kit, a subset of possible virtual object variations of the virtual object type is generated by assigning corresponding values to the characteristic parameter based on a distribution criterion. A subset of the plurality of virtual object kits is identified based on the target virtual object being within a similarity threshold of one or more virtual object variations generated using the subset of the plurality of virtual object kits in response to a request to assemble a target virtual object.

  • Patent number: 11184613
Abstract: An encoder system may include an analyzer that analyzes a current image area in an input video to select a transform. A selectable residue transformer, controlled by the analyzer, may perform the selectable transform on a residue image generated from the current image area and a predicted current image area, to generate a transformed residue image. An encoder may encode the transformed residue image to generate output data. The analyzer controls the encoder to encode information to identify the selectable transform and to indicate that the selectable transform for the current image area is different from a transform of a previous image area of the input video. A decoder system may include components appropriate for decoding the output data from the encoder system.
