  • Patent number: 11102789
Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to decode a resource mapping pattern of a phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) received from a base station in a wireless network is disclosed. The UE can decode control signaling received in a downlink from the base station. The control signaling can indicate a resource mapping pattern for a PT-RS. The UE can identify the resource mapping pattern for the PT-RS based on the control signaling received from the base station. The UE can encode one or more PT-RS for transmission to the base station in an uplink in accordance with the resource mapping pattern for the PT-RS.

  • Patent number: 11102601
Abstract: Spatial audio upmixing enables mixing spatial sound on a more granular per-channel level than is possible using conventional upmixing. A spatial bed is a multi-channel audio content that represents a complete sound field description, e.g., a virtual sphere of sound, for example surrounding a simulated reality listener in a simulated reality environment. A new spatial bed is generated by combining sections of at least two of such spatial beds. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11100909
Abstract: A wearable audio output device is in a respective physical environment and in communication with an electronic device. While one or more audio properties of the respective physical environment satisfy first audio criteria, the wearable audio output device provides audio output corresponding to the first audio criteria, the audio output including: audio corresponding to audio content from the electronic device at a first device-content audio level; and audio corresponding to ambient sound from the respective physical environment at a first ambient-sound audio level. The wearable audio output device detects a change in the one or more audio properties of the respective physical environment, and in response to detecting the change in the one or more audio properties of the respective physical environment, provides audio corresponding to ambient sound from the respective physical environment at a second ambient-sound audio level that is different from the first ambient-sound audio level.

  • Patent number: 11102414
Abstract: An electronic device has multiple cameras and displays a digital viewfinder user interface for previewing visual information provided by the cameras. The multiple cameras may have different properties such as focal lengths. When a single digital viewfinder is provided, the user interface allows zooming over a zoom range that includes the respective zoom ranges of both cameras. The zoom setting to determine which camera provides visual information to the viewfinder and which camera is used to capture visual information. The user interface also allows the simultaneous display of content provided by different cameras at the same time. When two digital viewfinders are provided, the user interface allows zooming, freezing, and panning of one digital viewfinder independently of the other. The device allows storing of a composite images and/or videos using both digital viewfinders and corresponding cameras.

  • Patent number: 11099990
Abstract: A system and method for efficiently forwarding cache misses to another level of the cache hierarchy. Logic in a cache controller receives a first non-cacheable load miss request and stores it in a miss queue. When the logic determines the target address of the first load miss request is within a target address range of an older pending second load miss request stored in the miss queue with an open merge window, the logic merges the two requests into a single merged miss request. Additional requests may be similarly merged. The logic issues the merged miss requests based on determining the merge window has closed. The logic further prevents any other load miss requests, which were not previously merged in the merged miss request before it was issued, from obtaining a copy of data from the returned fill data. Such prevention in a non-coherent memory computing system supports memory ordering.

  • Patent number: 11102568
Abstract: An automatic speech recognition (ASR) triggering system, and a method of providing an ASR trigger signal, is described. The ASR triggering system can include a microphone to generate an acoustic signal representing an acoustic vibration and an accelerometer worn in an ear canal of a user to generate a non-acoustic signal representing a bone conduction vibration. A processor of the ASR triggering system can receive an acoustic trigger signal based on the acoustic signal and a non-acoustic trigger signal based on the non-acoustic signal, and combine the trigger signals to gate an ASR trigger signal. For example, the ASR trigger signal may be provided to an ASR server only when the trigger signals are simultaneously asserted. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11099722
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can simulate a virtual parallax to create three dimensional effects. For example, the computing device can obtain an image captured at a particular location. The captured two-dimensional image can be applied as texture to a three-dimensional model of the capture location. To give the two-dimensional image a three-dimensional look and feel, the computing device can simulate moving the camera used to capture the two-dimensional image to different locations around the image capture location to generate different perspectives of the textured three-dimensional model as if captured by multiple different cameras. Thus, a virtual parallax can be introduced into the generated imagery for the capture location. When presented to the user on a display of the computing device, the generated imagery may have a three-dimensional look and feel even though generated from a single two-dimensional image.
