Abstract: The invention comprises an inflatable and expandable slide and pool construction that permits the user to selectively change the structure of the slide by expanding it to include a pool or basin at the end of the slide. The pool portion may be releasably attached to the front of the slide and may include inflatable sides and an inflatable end bumper. If the slide is a continuous airflow inflatable, the sides of the pool portion may be inflated by the air blower when the sides are released from their attachment to the end of the slide.
Abstract: Swim goggles comprising first and second substantially rigid frames each having a base portion, an eye lens portion, an inner end portion and an outer end portion. The swim goggles further comprise a bridge for engaging the inner end portions of the first and second frames. The swim goggles further comprise a head strap having first and second end portions having a plurality of tooth portions. The swim goggles further comprise first and second connection mechanisms disposed at the outer end portions of the first and second frames, respectively. Each of the first and second connection mechanisms comprise a strap passage way adapted to receive the first and second end portions of the head strap, respectively. Each of the first and second mechanisms further comprise a unitary resilient pawl comprising a median portion and first and second finger portions having end portions engaged with the base portion at a position adjacent to and below the eye lens portion.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a childproof valve for a swimming pool. In one embodiment, the valve may include a valve body having an inlet and an outlet and a flow-passage extending therebetween, a plunger movable within the valve body between closed and open positions to either close or open the flow-passage, a tap mounted to the valve body, and a clutch device interposed between the tap and the plunger and co-operating with the tap such that rotation of the tap will not move the plunger unless the tap is first moved axially.
Abstract: A water filtration and pumping apparatus typically for use with swimming pools includes a pump casing having mounted therein an electric motor driving an impeller within an impeller housing. The impeller housing has a water inlet. A filter casing mounted directly atop of the pump casing has a water outlet. The filter casing is attached to the pump casing via a number of support legs extending between the two casings. One of the support legs provides a water flow passage between the impeller housing and the filter casing via which water from the water inlet pumped by the impeller passes en route to the filter casing for filtration and dispensation via the water outlet.
Abstract: An inflatable air bed. The air bed includes an inflatable lower chamber and an inflatable upper chamber overlying and attached to the lower chamber. Each chamber includes at least one valve for inflating and deflating the chamber. The lower chamber provides support for the upper chamber, which can be independently adjusted for user comfort.
