  • Patent number: 10501980
Abstract: A three dimensional scaffold formed of mesh, or semi-porous material is designed to be inserted into and to surround an opening in the exterior structure of a building to receive a fenestration product such as a door, a vent, a window and a skylight. The three dimensional scaffold is pre-formed into three-dimensional shapes that include corners, returns, back-dams, and optional head flaps that provide a scaffold and backing for the application of a fluid applied water/weather-proofing material. The separate fluid applied waterproofing/weatherproofing may be applied by spray, brush or roll and can be asphalt, rubber, plastic or other fluid applied material. The scaffolding may be formed out of mesh, or other semi-porous fiberglass, metal, plastic, synthetic or other material that can be formed into three dimensional shapes.

  • Publication number: 20190318639
Abstract: An advisor system includes a computer-readable storage medium having encoded thereon a program of instructions. Execution of the instructions causes a processor to determine a current state of a first aircraft operating on a movement area of an airport including determining a path vector for the first aircraft. The path vector includes a speed and direction of travel of the first aircraft and identification of a runway intersection the first aircraft is projected to enter. The processor processes a surveillance signal transmitted from a second aircraft operating on the movement area, including determining a quality of the surveillance signal. The processor further determines a movement vector of the second aircraft, and compares the path vector and the movement vector to identify possible interference. Finally, the processor provides an advisory at the first aircraft based on the compared path vector and the movement vector.

  • Patent number: 10443229
Abstract: A strap system comprising a plurality of straps. Each strap comprises a central body configured to extend within the first reinforcement channel, an outward jog at an upper end of the central body with an upper offset body extending therefrom, and a lower overlap portion extending from the central body opposite of the upper offset body. The lower overlap portion is positionable within the first reinforcement channel, while the upper offset body extending along the first end wall overlying the first reinforcement channel, whereupon positioning the first strap in operable position relative to the second strap directs the upper offset body into overlying position relative to the lower overlap portion of the second reinforcement channel, to, in turn, provide for the coupling therebetween by a fastener directed therethrough. A bracket member with a strap system, and a building system with a strap system are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10400445
Abstract: An acoustic seal for a sound flanking path between an an interior architectural separation and a mullion. The seal may be configured as an elongated rail having first and seal surfaces with adhesive elements disposed on laterally offset first and second adhesive-bearing portions thereof. When installed, the elongated rail can maintain a non-deformed state when opposing faces of the mullion and the architectural separation are separated by a distance equal to the elongated rail thickness. The elongated rail can assume a deformed state when the opposing faces of the mullion and the architectural separation are separated by a distance greater than the elongated rail thickness. In the deformed state, the longitudinal edges of the elongated rail become offset from each other in a direction normal to first and second seal surfaces. The elongated rail cross-section flexes proximate to first and second flex locations that may optionally include stress relief features.

  • Patent number: 10378214
Abstract: An insulation system for coupling to a building substrate comprising a plurality of insulation panels, bracket members and splice members. Each insulation panel includes a longitudinal slot. Each bracket member is formed from a polymer and includes an elongated body having a body wall, a first end wall and a second end wall. Upper and lower ribs extend from the body wall and are structurally configured to extend into the longitudinal slot of each of the plurality of insulation panels, and to elastically deform the longitudinal slot so as to effectively seal along a length thereof, defining a vapor barrier. A similar structure is on each splice member. The bracket members are positioned in a spaced apart relationship with insulation panels therebetween. The upper and lower ribs extend into corresponding ones of the longitudinal slots of the insulation panels, with splice members extending between adjacent adjacently abutting insulation panels.
