The second controller is connected to the first controller via a general-purpose communication path and performs processing not dependent on the hardware. Each of the first controller and the second controller transmits control information used for controlling the hardware to a counterpart controller of the first controller or the second controller via the communication path while varying a transmission interval in accordance with a type of the control information.

Abstract: The present embodiments relate generally to ultrasound imaging methods and apparatus that allow for multiple modes of imaging using a single ultrasound transducer having a plurality of transducer elements. In an embodiment, there is provided an ultrasound imaging machine that is: operable in a first imaging mode in which the plurality of transducer elements are activated; and operable in a second imaging mode different from the first imaging mode, and in the second imaging mode, a subset of the plurality of transducer elements are activated so that ultrasound signals are steered from the subset of the plurality of transducer elements, where any remaining transducer elements of the plurality of transducer elements not part of the subset are inactive when operating in the second imaging mode.

Abstract: The invention provides a description of a method and a device suitable for producing a cell suspension spray with living cells, and the produced cell preparation, suitable for grafting to a patient. In contrast to other methods, the spraying is performed through a disposable needle which is inserted into a disposable air tube; which provides a cell distribution avoiding spray nozzles. Small suspension droplets are provided instead of cell nebulization. By using medical grade sterile Luer-lock disposables from medical routine praxis, biocompatibility and easy application is addressed. In applying the method and/or in using the device, cells suitable for grafting to a patient are dispersed in a solution and sprayed with the device for distribution over the recipient graft site.

In one embodiment, the method includes transmitting a video presentation featuring a subject person to a plurality of users via a first communication format. The method also includes receiving from at least one user of the plurality of users during the video presentation, a request to initiate an interactive session with an avatar of the subject person. In response to the request, the method includes generating a first avatar of the subject person and initiating a first interactive session between the first avatar and the at least one user.
