    Abstract: An automatic standard cell layout generator that generates circuit layouts for an industry standard cell library on an advanced technology node leverages reinforcement learning (RL) to generate device placements in the layouts and also to fix design rule violations during routing. A genetic algorithm is utilized to generate routing candidates to which a reinforcement learning model is applied to correct the design rule constraint violations incrementally. A design rule checker provides feedback on the violations to the reinforcement learning model and the model learns how to fix the violations. A layout device placer based upon a simulated annealing method may also be utilized.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of forming an insulating structure of a high electron mobility transistor (HEMT), firstly, a gallium nitride layer is formed, next, an aluminum gallium nitride layer is formed on the gallium nitride layer, then, a first patterned photoresist layer is formed on the aluminum gallium nitride layer, and a groove is formed in the gallium nitride layer and the aluminum gallium nitride layer, next, an insulating layer is formed and filling up the groove. Afterwards, a second patterned photoresist layer is formed on the insulating layer, wherein the pattern of the first patterned photoresist layer is complementary to the pattern of the second patterned photoresist layer, and part of the insulating layer is removed, then, the second patterned photoresist layer is removed, and an etching step is performed on the remaining insulating layer to remove part of the insulating layer again.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a sandwich assembly containing a thin film electrode array for use with high density electrodes. To minimize the volume required by the associated electronics, the electrode array and integrated circuits are sandwiched over a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), which may have other integrated circuits on an opposite side. Among other things, the disclosed apparatus, system, and method improve over previous systems by providing holes and vias that facilitate communication between a custom chip above the PCB and a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) below. The thin film electrode array can be fastened by bucking a pillar of stacked gold or other metal balls to rivet the thin film flex circuit. The system can include a thin film array having embedded wire traces and holes, a PCB having vias aligned with the holes, chips including an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) sandwiching the thin film, and solder connections from the chips through the holes to the vias.
