Embodiments include a remote computer server receiving a digital image from a digital capturing device and the remote computer server processing the digital image to provide digital image processing information. Further, the remote computer server determines a list of search results based on the digital image and the digital image processing information and transmits the list of search results to the digital capture device. The list of search results includes links to websites, one or more search result images, and image identification information. In addition, a search engine software application implemented by the remote computer server receives the digital image and determines the list of search results. An image processing device and/or computer program identifies one or more objects within the digital image that may be used in a search.

Abstract: A method, using a computer and visual scanning device attached to the computer is disclosed. A visual invoice from a provider is scanned with the visual scanning device, and the visual invoice includes an optically readable symbol. The request is sent to a trusted agent using the optically readable symbol. An electronic invoice is received from the trusted agent based upon the request. The electronic invoice is then approved.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for managing symbology associated with a product are disclosed. Embodiments include generating the symbology associated with a product, the symbology generated as a digital image file using a computer server. Further embodiments include storing, by the computer server, the digital image file in a remote database and associating the symbol with the product in the remote database as well as transmitting the digital image file to a mobile computing device using the computer server. Additional embodiments include receiving the digital image file by the mobile computing device as well as presenting the digital image file on a display of the mobile computing device to purchase a product.

Abstract: A method and system for determining product information from a logo are disclosed. In one embodiment, an image of a logo may be captured by a portable image capture device. The captured image may be analyzed to recognize the logo. The product may then be identified based on the recognized logo.

In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, multiple routes to the destination location are determined. For each route of the multiple routes, an estimated amount of energy needed to travel to the destination location is calculated. A preferred route from the multiple routes is selected, the preferred route being the route with a lowest estimated amount of energy needed to travel to the destination location.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing metadata of an image are disclosed. The metadata is associated with the image and an applet views the metadata in response to selection of the image. The metadata may include links to websites, audio files, video files, and text files, as well as image capture information including GPS location, time and date of capture, camera settings, etc. In response to selection of the image, or in response to arriving at a website pointed to by a URL in the metadata, a list of information materials associated with the image may be displayed. One or more of the information materials may be automatically activated.
