The first portion may have perimetral fasteners disposed on its edges. A second portion is for protecting and detachably connecting to an input device portion of the computing device. The second portion may have perimetral fasteners disposed on its edges. The display and input device portions can be detachably connected to each other through a multi-pivot hinge unit operable to rotate about one or more computing device axes defined between the display and input device portions to move the computing device between open and closed states. A hinge cover portion can be connected to the first portion operable to detachably receive and surround the multi-pivot hinge of the computing device. A protective shell can be formed between first and second portions.

Abstract: A boat wind and spray protection device which includes at least one panel joined to a coupler-hinge-actuator that is capable of being fixed in relation to a boat. For center console boats, a set of two panels, located on either side of the console of the boat, are designed to open from a position generally parallel and adjacent to the console sides, to an angle and distance sufficient to provide improved passenger protection from wind and spray. The panels may be powered electronically by control buttons that operate electronic actuators, that in turn power the movement of the panels between generally closed to generally open positions, as well as intermediate positions.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for securing tools for use, storage, and transport. One illustrative system may include a tool securing assembly with a tool retaining clip that can be detachably mounted to a base assembly. The tool retaining clip may be formed from a resilient material and have a tool insertion opening smaller than a diameter of a portion of a tool to be secured therein that leads to a larger tool retaining space. When a tool is inserted, the tool insertion opening flexes to provide positive physical feedback that the tool is secured. The retaining clip may require the tool to be rotated as it is inserted to provide additional physical feedback. The base assembly may have a front mounting portion and rear securing portion separated by a retaining recess. The tool retaining clip may also be secured on a storage rack for storage or transport.

The GIS system tracks locations and movements of the IoT devices and is activated when an IoT device signals detection of a threat or an urgent medical need. Based on locations and escalating state changes of the IoT devices, alerts are provided to the IoT devices, and the threat location, a danger zone and a buffer zone are calculated and displayed on a mobile software application. Based on device proximity to the threat location, the GIS system communicates escape directions and shelter guidance to the mobile software applications of those affected. Smart alert escalations are provided as needed to security, law enforcement and medical personnel.

Abstract: In well bores with included tubulars, it is often desirable to segregate a portion of the wellbore's pressure-driven fluid flowpath in the conduit portion formed by included tubulars to permit work to be completed in a pressure-controlled portion of that flowpath. The subassembly and included frangible device provided here does so with minimal exposure of seals to well fluid environments, and provides a field-adjustable variability to the pressure differentials required to open the conduit by removal of the frangible sealing device from the flowpath into which the subassembly is installed or included.

Abstract: Apparatus to enforce network policy based on identity authentication at a network endpoint device by offloading the authentication to a network attached authentication devices is disclosed. The authentication device may use Statistical Object Identification to perform the authentication. The present disclosure greatly reduces the resources needed by the network endpoint device to perform the authentication and eliminates the topological restrictions found in traditional network appliance based approaches.

Abstract: Protective shields configured to prevent projection against projectiles, such as during excavating and/or mining operations, are provided. The protective shields include a base layer comprising one or more transparent polycarbonate layers, a sacrificial polycarbonate layer comprising a transparent polycarbonate, and an air gap positioned directly between at least a portion of the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer. The sacrificial polycarbonate layer is directly or indirectly attached to the base layer in a manner to provide the air gap positioned between the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer.

The perimetral fastening members may detachably connect to perimetral edges of a screen portion of the computing device.
