Abstract: A window assembly for attachment to a frame of a vehicle includes a window having a top, a bottom, sides, an outer surface, and an inner surface. A height of the window extends from the top to the bottom of the window. A width of the window extends between the sides of the window. A thickness of the window extends between the outer and inner surfaces. The window defines a plurality of slots. A clamp is securable to the frame of the vehicle for mounting the window assembly to the vehicle. A bolt is extendable through the clamp and window to couple the window to the clamp and frame. A fastener is engageable with the bolt to secure the window assembly to the frame.

Abstract: A composite case for an electronic device is provided. The composite case includes: a resilient portion dimensioned to cover two end portions of the electronic device and less than half of a back portion of the electronic device; and a rigid portion dimensioned to fit with the resilient portion, the rigid portion dimensioned to provide a cover for at least part of the back portion of the electronic device. A method of protecting an electronic device is provided. The method includes: attaching a rigid material to a resilient material; dimensioning both the rigid material and the resilient material to contain an electronic device; configuring the rigid material, but not the resilient material, to cover most or all of a back portion of the electronic device; and providing an opening to allow a screen portion of the electronic device to be accessed through the opening in the rigid and resilient material.
Abstract: A sandwich construction, integrated multi-layered case for an electronic device is provided herein, including methods of production and protecting an electronic device.
Abstract: A thermal printing apparatus includes a frame, an endless ribbon to transport ink on its outer face, a coating device to coat the endless ribbon with ink, a printhead to print by thermal transfer a substrate with a part of the ink, a plurality of first rollers supporting and transporting the endless ribbon by its inner face along a path from the coating device to the printhead and from the printhead to the coating device in a cyclic manner, at least one first conveyor arranged to support the inner face of the endless ribbon between two adjacent first rollers along its path from the coating device to the printhead; the first conveyor including a plate fixed in translation and rotation with the frame and having a first convex surface supporting the inner face, a heat exchanger designed to cool down the first surface of the plate at a predefined temperature.
Abstract: A removable device adapted to cooperate with a conveyor system for the installation of an endless ribbon in the conveyor system, the removable device includes at least two support elements to support the endless ribbon, each support element being movable in rotation around a rotation axis and each support element having a convex portion to support a portion of the endless ribbon.

Abstract: In well bores with included tubulars, it is often desirable to segregate a portion of the wellbore's pressure-driven fluid flowpath in the conduit portion formed by included tubulars to permit work to be completed in a pressure-controlled portion of that flowpath. The subassembly and included frangible device provided here does so with minimal exposure of seals to well fluid environments, and provides a field-adjustable variability to the pressure differentials required to open the conduit by removal of the frangible sealing device from the flowpath into which the subassembly is installed or included.
Abstract: Protective shields configured to prevent projection against projectiles, such as during excavating and/or mining operations, are provided. The protective shields include a base layer comprising one or more transparent polycarbonate layers, a sacrificial polycarbonate layer comprising a transparent polycarbonate, and an air gap positioned directly between at least a portion of the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer. The sacrificial polycarbonate layer is directly or indirectly attached to the base layer in a manner to provide the air gap positioned between the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer.
Abstract: An adapter panel for establishing a horizontal return and optional mount for accessories to a vehicle without a horizontal return. The adapter panel substantially conforming to a portion of a vehicle. The adapter panel solidly mounted to the underside of a vehicle, forming a surface upon which accessories can be mounted, or, alternatively having a lower surface having a reduced surface area in order to limit force applied to the panel and the vehicle. The panel further having an edge portion disposed along a perimeter, between the upper and lower surface, optionally securing the panel to the vehicle and deflecting obstacles, and one or more mounting points for removably attaching the protection panel to a portion of the exterior of a vehicle.

Abstract: A thermal transfer printing apparatus includes a coater to coat an endless belt ribbon with ink on a coating zone, a printhead to print by thermal transfer a substrate with a part of the ink coated on the endless belt ribbon on a printing zone, a conveyor system supporting and transporting the endless ribbon including ink along a first path from the coater to the printhead and along a second path from the printhead to the coater; a pre-printing buffer to control the length of the first path of the ribbon in the coating zone; and a post-printing buffer to control the length of the second path of the ribbon in the printing zone.
Abstract: A deployable protective case and a method of deploying said case is provided. The case includes a main body which is divided into an upper portion and lower portion that are separated by a living hinge. The case is configured with guide surfaces that allow for the case to engage with more than one electronic device, such as a tablet and a keyboard. The protective case is movable to a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the stowed configuration, the devices are protected during storage and transportation. In the deployed configuration, the devices are made accessible for use, such as by positioning a tablet relative to a keyboard. While deployed, the case maintains engagement with at least a part of the electronic device.
