  • Patent number: 11506017
Abstract: In well bores with included tubulars, it is often desirable to segregate a portion of the wellbore's pressure-driven fluid flowpath in the conduit portion formed by included tubulars to permit work to be completed in a pressure-controlled portion of that flowpath. The subassembly and included frangible device provided here does so with minimal exposure of seals to well fluid environments, and provides a field-adjustable variability to the pressure differentials required to open the conduit by removal of the frangible sealing device from the flowpath into which the subassembly is installed or included.

  • Publication number: 20220345869
Abstract: An early alert and location intelligence geographic information system (GIS) includes a plurality of Internet of Thing (IoT) devices and a GIS system. The GIS system tracks locations and movements of the IoT devices and is activated when an IoT device signals detection of a threat or an urgent medical need. Based on locations and escalating state changes of the IoT devices, alerts are provided to the IoT devices, and the threat location, a danger zone and a buffer zone are calculated and displayed on a mobile software application. Based on device proximity to the threat location, the GIS system communicates escape directions and shelter guidance to the mobile software applications of those affected. Smart alert escalations are provided as needed to security, law enforcement and medical personnel.

  • Patent number: 11467629
Abstract: A method of protecting a computing device is provided including detachably connecting a leading edge of a base portion of the computing device to one or more device receiving members of a first portion of a case. The trailing edge of the base portion is secured to the first portion of the case. The first portion of the case may substantially envelope the base portion of the computing device and a plurality of perimetral fastening members may be detachably connected to a second portion of the case. The perimetral fastening members may detachably connect to perimetral edges of a screen portion of the computing device. A protective shell may be formed around the computing device by pivoting adjoining edges of the first and second portions of the case about a linking pliable member in communication with the trailing edge of the computing device.

  • Patent number: 11353294
Abstract: A modular armor system is provided. The modular armor system includes an encasement for holding one or more interior plate, thereby providing a variety of protection options. The encasement is moveable from an open configuration to a closed configuration. In the open configuration, a user can inspect plate conditions and configurations prior to using such system, thereby allowing the user to replace damaged plates and/or to change plate configurations. The system is configured to allow bullets to penetrate the encasement, thereby reducing impact to users while reducing shrapnel associated with bullet spalling. By including one or more penetrable, buffer, retaining, or other plate within the encasement, users can further decrease impact and/or other risks associated with the same.
