  • Patent number: 7025316
Abstract: The invention relates to a holding device (10) for a drinks container. For space-saving housing of the holding device (10), the invention proposes constructing the holding device (10) as a recess (14), for example, in a dashboard (12) of a motor vehicle, and providing it with an ashtray (20) pivotable into and out of the recess (14). In the holding position pivoted out of the recess (14), the ashtray (20) closes the recess (14) laterally, so that, for example, a beaker (44) can be inserted in the recess (14). The invention has the advantage that the installation space for the ashtray (20) is simultaneously used also for insertion of the beaker (44) (FIG. 5).

  • Publication number: 20050229505
Abstract: The invention relates to a connection element (1) for connecting constructional components (2, 3) or the like mechanically, consisting of two coupling halves (4, 5) arranged to be brought into engagement, each of which is arranged to be fastened by means of screws (6) or the like to the constructional components (2, 3) to be connected. In order to make a connection element (1) of such a kind highly stable and simple to install, the invention proposes that each of the coupling halves (4, 5) comprise a tubular part (7, 8), which tubular parts have different cross-sections and can be inserted one into the other, and that the tubular parts (7, 8) be arranged at an angle with respect to the contact faces (16) of the constructional components (2, 3).

  • Patent number: 6941721
Abstract: The invention relates to a fixing element (10) for double pane insulating glass (42, 44), which is anchored by expansion of an expansible ring (16) in a drilled hole having a conical undercut in an outer glass pane (42) of the insulating glass (42, 44). The invention provides for the fixing element (10) to be sealed with two sealing rings (30, 40) on both sides of an inner glass pane (44) of the insulating glass (42, 44) and additionally for an injection opening (41) to be provided, through which a sealing compound, for example, silicone, can be introduced into a gap at the point at which the fixing element (10) passes through the inner glass pane (44) in order to provide an extra seal at the passage point. The fixing element (10) ensures a permanent seal of the passage point.

  • Patent number: 6938385
Abstract: The invention relates to a fixing element (10) for anchoring in a drilled hole (30, 32) having an undercut (28) in a laminated body (24, 26), for example, laminated glass. The fixing element (10) has an expander cone (14), onto which an expansion ring (16) can be pushed. To be able to compensate for misalignment between the layers (24, 26) of the laminated body (24, 26), the drilled hole (30) in an outer layer (24) is drilled with a larger diameter than in a further layer (26) of the laminated body (24, 26). The invention proposes constructing a washer (18) of the fixing element (10) with an injection opening (22), through which the gap between a threaded shank (12) of the fixing element (10) and the wall of the drilled hole (30) in the outer layer (24) of the laminated body (24, 26) can be filled with a sealing compound (26)2. (FIG. 2).

  • Patent number: 6846141
Abstract: The invention relates to an expansible anchor (10) for anchoring in a cylindrical drilled hole (40). The invention proposes constructing the expansible anchor (10) with a tubular basic anchor part (12), on which a hollow conical expansion portion (22) is formed by means of a forming procedure, on which expansion portion (22) an expansion sleeve (14) bent out of sheet metal is mounted. As a result of axial displacement of the expansion sleeve (14) on the expansion portion (22), the expansible anchor (10) becomes anchored in the drilled hole (40). The expansible anchor (10) exhibits subsequent expansion behaviour in the event of widening of the drilled hole (40), for example as a consequence of crack formation.

  • Patent number: 6837408
Abstract: The invention relates to a drinks holder (10) intended for installation in a dashboard of a motor vehicle. The drinks holder (10) has a pull-out part (14), which is so guided as to be displaceable in the manner of a drawer and which is provided with insertion openings (32) for inserting drinks containers such as, for example, drinks cans, beakers or cups. The invention proposes providing, at the rear of the pull-out part (14), a pivotal part (22) capable of pivoting downwards, which, when the pull-out part (14) is pushed into a housing (12), pivots downwards so that the length of the pull-out part (14) in the direction of displacement is reduced. The invention makes possible a drinks holder (10) housing (12) of short dimensions, which in the direction of displacement can be shorter than the diameter of the insertion openings (32).

  • Patent number: 6761003
Abstract: The invention relates to a retaining means (10) for fixing panel-form material, for example, glass panes (12) of a glass facing, to a substructure (14). The invention proposes constructing the retaining means (10) with a support (16), in which supporting elements (22) projecting pivotally to the side are insertable, to which the glass panes (121) can be displaceably fixed. The invention has the advantage that in a simple and inexpensive manner it permits stress-free fixing of glass panes (12) so that thermal expansion is compensated.

  • Patent number: 6715976
Abstract: An expansible fixing plug (10) has an expansion screw (14), which is located in an expansible fixing plug sleeve (12). In accordance with the invention, a screw thread (30) is of saw tooth construction and a rear part (16) of the fixing plug sleeve (12) is axially extendable. When the expansible fixing plug (10) is subjected to axial loading the expansion screw (14) moves axially in the fixing plug sleeve (12) and the screw thread (30) expands the fixing plug sleeve (12). The expansible fixing plug (10) therefore has a subsequent-expansion behavior when a drilled hole becomes enlarged. The expansible fixing plug (10) can be mounted by hammering in without turning the expansion screw (14). The core diameter of the screw thread (30) enlarges from the front to the rear to increase the capacity of the expansion screw (14) to withstand transverse loading.

  • Patent number: 6676346
Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening element made from metal, having an expansion sleeve (2) and an expansion member (3), which expansion member (3) is axially displaceable on the shank of a threaded bolt (8), the threaded bolt (8) having on its forward end an end-stop in the form of an expander (9). On the threaded bolt (8), between the expander (9) and the expansion member (3), there is arranged a spacing element (10). In the event of a tensile load, the expander (9) enters the spacing element (10) and forms a deformation zone that corresponds to the length of the spacing element (10). As a result of the friction and deformation occurring in the deformation zone, overloads are absorbed and, consequently, the fastening element is prevented from coming out or the threaded bolt from breaking off.

  • Patent number: 6676348
Abstract: The invention relates to an expansible anchor (10) for fastening to a panel-shaped building material, having an anchor sleeve (12) with forwardly projecting expansion tongues (18) that can be spread open by drawing in an expander body (24) having an expander cone (26). The invention proposes to form the expansible anchor (10) with a locking connection (20, 36) which locks the expander body (24) on the expansible anchor (10) in a position in which the expander body (24) is drawn in between the expansion tongues (18) and holds the expansion tongues (18) in a spread-open position. The invention has the advantage that the expander body (24) remains in its position in which it is drawn in between the expansion tongues (18) and holds the expansion tongues in a spread-open position even when an expander screw is unscrewed from the expansible anchor (10).
