  • Patent number: 5785462
Abstract: An anchoring cartridge for a hardening multi-component composition on the basis of a resin hardening by the reaction of radicals has an inner cartridge element containing the resin component and fillers and an outer cartridge element containing the hardener component. To allow the anchoring rod to be put in position by hand by driving the anchoring rod in fully, without spurting out or running out occurring during the operation of putting the rod in position, and to enable fillers to be used in both components to increase the strength, the inside width of the annular space between the inner and outer cartridge elements corresponds at least to the wall thickness of a cartridge element. Further, the resin contains a thixotropic agent which increases the viscosity of the resin to such an extent that the filler parts are suspended in the resin.

  • Patent number: 5777820
Abstract: The cassette holder for the transverse storage of magnetic tape cassettes, compact cassettes and digital cassettes has locking members (10) provided for locking the tape reel hubs (17) of a compact cassette (19) on a slider element (2) on which the cassette is moved from a removal position to a storage position. The movement of the locking members (10) is triggered by an actuating device (3) having a control edge (4) which raises and locks the locking members via a first turning pin (9) arranged with the locking members (10) on a common shaft (11). The actuating device (3) is actuated by the standard thickened portion (18) on the compact cassette and the control edge (4) in question. The first turning pin (9) travels in a first recess (6) in the base plate (1) and the locking members (10) travel in additional recesses (20) in the base plate (1) to reduce the cassette holder height.

  • Patent number: 5765736
Abstract: Pull-out sliding unit for installation in a motor vehicle has a sliding unit that can be pulled out like a drawer, which may, for example, be constructed as a drinks holder or as a tray surface, provided for installation in a fascia of a motor vehicle. In order to be able to remove the sliding unit easily from the device and exchange it, a sliding block engages the sliding unit and disengages by two wedges onto which the sliding block slides when the sliding unit, after being unlocked, is pulled out of the device beyond its open position.

  • Patent number: 5765979
Abstract: The impact-type anchor (1) consists of a metal sleeve (2) provided with a throughgoing passage (3) tapering towards a leading end of the sleeve, into which bore an expander body (5) can be driven to expand the impact-type anchor. The throughgoing passage (3) has a rear cylindrical portion provided with an internal thread (4) as well as a tapering portion. So that the metal sleeve can be inexpensively manufactured while providing pull-out values that are the same as those of a metal sleeve made of solid material, the metal sleeve is stamped out of a sheet metal blank and then rolled up to form a sleeve which is joined at its seam. Furthermore, in order to form the tapering internal bore the expandable legs (7) have a first section (7a) that is bent inwards and a second section (7b) that is bent onto the outer face of the first section. The two sections (7a, 7b) resting one against the other are connected non-displaceably to one another, for example, by means of a punched point (9).

  • Patent number: 5749963
Abstract: The hardenable mortar composition consists of a bonding agent component including a hydraulic bonding agent, such as cement, gypsum or mortar, and a paste-forming agent consisting of a liquid solvent inert with respect to the hydraulic bonding agent, and an aqueous component kept separate from the bonding agent component until the two components are mixed to form a hardened mortar composition. The aqueous component includes water and a hydrophobic adsorbent or absorbent. The hydrophobic adsorbent or absorbent is included in the aqueous component to avoid the emergence of the paste-forming agent, which is at the very least unsightly, when the aqueous component is mixed with the bonding agent component. The hydrophobic adsorbent or absorbent binds the paste-forming agent which would otherwise escape during mixing and remains as an inert additive in the setting mortar composition, without reducing the hardness thereof.

  • Patent number: 5743130
Abstract: An installation apparatus for an expansible anchor has a clamping piston guided in an expansion piston, both of which are perated by compressed air. The clamping piston has a clamping cone for a collet chuck. It slides on the collet chuck, which is fixed in the housing, and clamps a shank of the expansible anchor. The expansion piston displaces an expansible sleeve on the shank of the expansible anchor by an expansion plate which is screwed to the expansion piston and has a hole at its center, through which the shank of the expansible anchor projects into the collet chuck. The apparatus has the advantage of a closed force path as the expansible anchor is expanded, so that the anchor does not need to be steadied by a work-piece. In this manner, slabs or tiles having a small residual wall thickness at the bottom of a drilled hole are prevented from being damaged as the expansible anchor is installed.

  • Patent number: 5741100
Abstract: A fixing element has a shank having a rear end and a leading end, a holding element arranged on the rear end of clamping an article to a building component, at least one expansion region extending from the leading end in a longitudinal direction for part of a length of the shank. The expansion region is formed by a longitudinal slot with a base surface raising toward the leading end. A expansion member is inserted in the longitudinal slot. The base surface slopes upwardly and ends at an outer circumference of the shank at a distance from the leading end. The expansion member is formed as a wedge with a length substantially corresponding to a lenght of the longitudinal slot and lies on the base surface so as to be displaceable toward the leading end. The wedge has an outer surface provided with roof-shaped teeth which project beyond the shank at least by a part of a height of the teeth.

  • Patent number: 5697593
Abstract: A holding device to receive a drink container is provided for installation in a horizontal surface, for example a central console of a motor vehicle. In order to be able to accommodate the holding device in a small installation space and to recess it completely in its installation surface, the invention proposes a pivot arm which, after being unlocked, pivots, actuated by a spring, from a recumbent position into an upright position and thereby displaces a displaceable, upright arm upwards into a holding position. In order, with a narrow installation space, to engage securely around an inserted drink container, the holding device further has holding wings which, during the displacement of the displaceable arm into the holding position pivot out laterally.

  • Patent number: 5664920
Abstract: A fixing element has an expansion zone formed by a longitudinal slot having a trapezoidal cross-section and produced by stamping, and an expander member inserted in the longitudinal slot and displaceable therein. On the two sliding surfaces of the longitudinal slot arranged at an angle to one another the expander member rests with its two bearing surfaces, likewise arranged at an angle to one another. The external surface of the expander member provided with teeth of roof-shaped construction projects beyond the shank of the fixing element at least with a part of the height of the teeth. The expander member lying in the longitudinal slot so that it is easily displaceable allows subsequent expansion of the anchored fixing element in the event that the drilled hole widens as a result of cracks forming.

  • Patent number: 5647709
Abstract: An anchor bolt to be anchored by an explosive charge in a blind bore in a solid material, in particular a rock face or concrete, has a deformation chamber containing the explosive charge. To achieve inexpensive manufacture of the anchor bolt, simple mounting and high withdrawal values of the anchor bolt to be anchored, the deformation chamber open towards the leading end of the anchor bolt is closed by a stopper. A striking pin projecting beyond the leading end of the anchor bolt is inserted and guided in the stopper, so that as the rear end of the anchor bolt is hit the striking pin contacts an ignition capsule arranged between the stopper and the explosive charge.

  • Patent number: 5634752
Abstract: An anchor bolt has locking elements arranged over a part of the outer surface and formed as radially projecting lugs which are spaced circumferentially and axially from one another. Therefore a good mixing of a compound mass and reduction of the driving-in resistance is obtained. Therefore the outer diameter measured over the lugs of the anchor bolt can be matched approximately to the diameter of the drilled hole. Simple and inexpensive manufacture of the anchor bolt can be provided by powdered metal injection molding method using a system of binders with subsequent removal of the binders and sintering.
