  • Patent number: 10888687
Abstract: A catheter that prevents excessive concentration of stress while providing sufficient flexibility to a distal end portion of the catheter, even when the catheter is inserted and curved in patient's a blood vessel. Thus, breakage of the catheter at a radiopaque marker is prevented/reduced. The catheter includes a catheter tube and the radiopaque marker, which is disposed in the catheter tube. The radiopaque marker is fixed in the catheter so that a gap is provided between the radiopaque marker and the catheter tube in a radial direction of the catheter tube.

  • Patent number: 10888341
Abstract: A balloon catheter prevents detachment of a balloon from an inner shaft without using a conventional sleeve or heat-shrinkable tube. The balloon catheter includes a balloon, an inner shaft, and a tip having a proximal end portion that covers an outer periphery of a distal end of the balloon. The distal end of the balloon is sandwiched between the inner shaft and the proximal end portion of the tip, thereby joining the distal end of the balloon to the inner shaft and the tip.

Abstract: The shaft of a dilator has a tapered part whose outer diameter at a distal end is smaller than at a proximal end, and either a distal end part and a proximal end part, or a proximal end part without a distal end part. If only the proximal end part is provided, the pitch of neighboring sections of a spirally-arranged protruding portion on the tapered part is larger than that on the proximal end part. If both the proximal end part and the distal end part are provided, the pitch of neighboring sections of the spirally-arranged protruding portion on the tapered part is larger than those on the distal end part or the proximal end part.

  • Patent number: 10863997
Abstract: A medical device includes a mesh member capable of radially expanding and contracting, and a cylindrical member located at one end of the mesh member. The mesh member is woven from a first wire and a second wire. The cylindrical member includes a wrapping portion and a lining portion that are fixed to each other at fixation portions positioned within spaces defined by the first wire and the second wire. Neither the wrapping portion nor the lining portion is fixed to either of the first wire or the second wire. Upon expansion or radial contraction of the mesh member, movement of the first wire or the second wire is not interfered with by the cylindrical member. This reduces the concentration of stress at the end of the mesh member and thus the likelihood that either the first wire or the second wire will break.
