Abstract: The present invention provides a cation-exchange chromatographic support, comprising a membrane matrix and a copolymer immobilized on the surface of the membrane matrix, wherein the copolymer comprises a (meth)acrylamide-based compound and/or a (meth)acrylate-based compound as monomer units, and the support has one or more species of cation-exchange groups including at least a weak cation-exchange group at a density higher than 30 mmol/L per volume of the support.
Abstract: A hollow fiber membrane module includes: a tubular container accommodating a hollow fiber membrane bundle; headers, and potted parts. The header includes a header protrusion that protrudes in an annular shape toward the tubular container. The tubular container includes double annular protrusions, which are an inner protrusion and an outer protrusion protruding toward the header. The header and the tubular container are welded together by ultrasonic welding, with the header protrusion being inserted between the inner protrusion and the outer protrusion of the tubular container. The header protrusion and the inner protrusion of the tubular container are welded together at least in one or more regions, and the header protrusion and the outer protrusion of the tubular container are welded together at least in one or more regions.
Abstract: The hollow fiber membrane module according to the present application is provided with a cylindrical container open at one end and the other end, a bundle of hollow fiber membranes packed in the cylindrical container, potting parts embedding and fixing the bundle of hollow fiber membranes at both ends of the cylindrical container, and headers provided at both ends of the cylindrical container and having nozzles that constitute an inlet and outlet for a fluid. In this hollow fiber membrane module, the headers and the cylindrical container are welded in at least two areas including a primary weld and a secondary weld, and the secondary weld is located in a position where welding is initiated after or simultaneously with the beginning of welding of the primary weld.
Abstract: The present invention provides a hollow-fiber membrane blood purification device obtained by filling a container with a hollow-fiber membrane, in which the hollow-fiber membrane contains a hydrophobic polymer, a hydrophilic polymer and a lipid-soluble substance; the amount of the lipid-soluble substance on the inner surface of the hollow-fiber membrane is 10 mg/m2 or more and 300 mg/m2 or less; and the oxygen transmission rate of the container is 1.8×10?10 cm3·cm/(cm2·s·cmHg) or less.

Abstract: In the removal of white blood cells from blood, the efficiency of white blood cell removal by a filter is improved. Centrifugal force is applied to blood placed in a blood bag by centrifugal separation to form a plurality of separation layers having a concentration gradient of white blood cells. The separation layers are passed through a filter in ascending order of white blood cell concentration to remove the white blood cells from the separation layers. The separation layers from which the white blood cells have been removed are received in a first blood component bag.
