  • Patent number: 5320207
Abstract: A coin throwing port restricting mechanism 10 enables substantial restriction of a configuration of a coin throwing port 4 by means of a simply handling thereof. Such a coin throwing port restricting mechanism 10 contributes to provide a coin throwing device which has only one coin throwing port 4 and which can receive many kinds of coins of different sizes. The coin throwing port restricting mechanism 10 comprises a ring 11 and an arm 12. The ring 11 which serves as a fixing member surrounds the coin throwing port 4. The arm 12 extends from the inner periphery of the ring 11 to the center thereof in a manner that it faces front to the coin throwing port 4. The extending length and the extending width of the arm 12 are selectable depending on the diameter and the thickness of the coin. Thus, the configuration of the coin throwing port 4 can be restricted without modifying the shape thereof.

  • Patent number: 5295900
Abstract: A coin dispensing device comprises a hopper 1 where a supply of coins is held in bulk. The coins are transported one by one on a coin dispensing disc 3 rotatably supported by a rotary shaft 2 for use in dispensing a coin. A base plate 20 is opposed to the coin dispensing disc 3 at a predetermined distance. The coin dispensing device also comprises guide holes 14 penetrating through the coin dispensing disc 3. Each of the guide holes 14 receives one of agitating members 13 which travels along a predetermined orbit on the base plate 20 accompanying with rotation of the coin dispensing disc 3. An extrusion member 50 is disposed on the base plate 20 along the orbit. The extrusion member 50 has a predetermined relative height to the base plate 20 to make a portion of the agitating member be protruded, as the agitation protruding end 13a, through the guide hole 14 from the coin dispensing disc 3 when the agitating member 13 passes on the extrusion member 50 along the orbit.

  • Patent number: 5293981
Abstract: In a coin sorting device which rolls a coin along a sorting passage and which carries out a sorting operation for the coin during movement of the coin, it is readily possible to remove unnecessary material from the sorting passage. The unnecessary material may be surface material which is separated from the coin. If the unnecessary material is left in the sorting passage, it becomes one of factors which cause an error in the sorting operation. Inasmuch as the unnecessary material can be readily removed from the sorting passage, reliability is improved as regards the sorting operation. For removing the unnecessary material, a plurality of through holes may be made to a bottom of the sorting passage. A roller member may be used at the bottom of the sorting passage instead of making the through holes.

  • Patent number: 5234093
Abstract: In a vending machine for discharging one of articles by manual operation of lever after depositing a coin, a rotary plate is rotated by the manual operation of the manual lever and a driven plate is rotated through the deposited coin which is received in a pocket formed by cooperation of the rotary plate and the driven plate. The driven plate drives an article discharging mechanism. An article discharging mechanism has a package separating mechanism for separating one package from a package belt having scored lines between adjacent packages to discharge it as the article. The package separating mechanism comprises a package guide roll for guiding one package thereon during rotation and elastic fingers rotating together with the package guide roll. The elastic fingers pinch the package onto the package guide roll with bending. The fingers rapidly return to the original shape from the bent shape by their elasticity to give a tension force to the package.
