  • Publication number: 20220286190
Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to millimeter wave (“mmWave”) idle channel optimization. According to one aspect disclosed herein, an antenna system can include an antenna array that is configured in a first antenna configuration. The antenna system can generate and send downlink beams directed towards a network edge. A beam index scanner operating at the network edge can scan the downlink beams to determine beam index scanner data for the first antenna configuration. The beam index scanner can send the bream index scanner data to an antenna technician device. The beam index scanner data can indicate that a downlink channel provided by the downlink beams is not optimized. The antenna system can configure the antenna array in a new antenna configuration in an attempt to optimize the downlink channel provided by the downlink beams.

  • Patent number: 11419007
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards load balancing in an adaptive and automated way for wireless mobility networks to improve the overall harmonic-average UE throughput within each controlled group of cells (e.g., different frequency carriers serving a sector of a base station). A load balancer (e.g., analytics component) obtains various device traffic data including throughput data for cells of a group. Pairs of cells in a group (sharing a site and face) can be selected based on satisfying various criteria, with estimated throughput gain achieved by changing the handoff rates between the cell pairs. The technology iteratively repeats the overall process, driving a system to an optimal equilibrium.

  • Patent number: 11418933
Abstract: A lightweight machine-to-machine (LWM2M) protocol can be utilized as a management layer for other applications pertaining to communication and retrieval of information from hardware peripherals. The applications can be managed via a client and the applications can communicate to the client via a standard proxy or message broker. Consequently, sensor codes can be decoupled from the client codes, thus allowing them to both be independent interchangeable components of a specific device's architecture. Therefore, sensors can be added, removed, and/or manipulated without modifying the underlying management layer.

  • Patent number: 11419116
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a compressed user equipment (UE) capability message that can indicate to a mobile network the various capabilities of the UE. In particular, the carrier aggregation and dual connectivity capabilities are compressed as disclosed herein. In traditional implementations, each carrier aggregation and dual connectivity combination and implementation that is supported is explicitly indicated in the message. As disclosed herein, rather than listing explicit combinations, the UE capability message can be compressed by instead listing boundary values of several different parameters which can be used by the network to derive the carrier aggregation and dual connectivity combinations. The UE capability message can also list the boundary values for LTE (Long Term Evolution), NR (New Radio, or 5G), and Dual Connectivity separately within the message to reduce ambiguity.
