Patent number: 12212526Abstract: The system monitors multiple communication channels between a first communicator and a second communicator. At least a portion of the multiple channels spatially overlap. The overlapping channels carry different communications. The system determines whether a first set of two or more channels among the multiple channels are interfering with each other. Upon detecting interference, the system obtains a first multiplicity of physical resource blocks associated with a first channel and a second multiplicity of physical resource blocks associated with a second channel, where a physical resource block comprises a frequency band of predetermined size. The system allocates a first subset of the first multiplicity of physical resource blocks to the first channel, and a second subset of the second multiplicity of physical resource blocks to the second channel, where the first subset and the second subset do not overlap.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2022Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: T-Mobile USA, Inc.Inventors: Jun Liu, Jeff Ahmet

Patent number: 12213037Abstract: A method is performed by a wireless mobile network to mitigate interference between communication links. A request is received for resources needed to support an application by a vehicle relative to another vehicle. The resources are configured based on the application and are used to establish a direct communication link between the vehicles. The resources are to be shared between the direct communication link and another communication link. The mobile network defines certain blanked resources that are disallowed for use to perform the application. Any remaining resources (or non-blanked resources) are allowed for use to perform the application. The blanked resources can be used by the other communication link to avoid interference with the direct communication link. The allocation of resources is communicated to the vehicle to establish the direct communication link with the other vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2021Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: T-Mobile USA, Inc.Inventors: Gaviphat Lekutai, Alan Denis MacDonald

Patent number: 12208930Abstract: A system pairs a 5G-connected drone to a 5G-enabled user-controlled device. The system sets a predicted route for the 5G-connected drone to navigate. A portion of this route is indoors and matches an actual route of the user-controlled device. The system then causes the 5G-connected drone to commence navigating the predicted route. The system receives environmental data from the area surrounding the 5G-connected drone on the predicted route measured by a set of onboard sensors of the 5G-connected drone. Using the received environmental data and a deviation of the predicted route from the actual route traversed by the user-controlled device, the system determines that an alternate route for the 5G-connected drone exists and sets the alternate route. The system generates a notification based on the environmental data indicating hazards on the alternate route and transmits the notification over a 5G network to the user-controlled device.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2023Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: T-Mobile USA, Inc.Inventors: Timothy E. Patent number: 12213034Abstract: Described is intelligent security based on the detection of the presence of mobile devices within a defined region, determined via accurate mobile device location sensing, e.g., within on the order of one meter. Upon detection of the presence of a mobile device within a defined region via mobile device millimeter wave-based position sensing, an identity associated with the mobile device is obtained. If the identity associated with the mobile device is not a trusted identity, action can be taken based on the presence of the identity within the defined region. The intelligent security can be implemented within an application program of a registered user's mobile device and/or a security system, such as a commercially available security system with alarm monitoring services. Various criteria can determine the action(s) to take, including by which region (if more than one), time of day, identity trust level, duration of presence, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2022Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Zhi Cui, Hongyan Lei

Patent number: 12213035Abstract: Techniques for calibrating a barometer sensor of a user equipment over time are discussed herein. In some cases, the accuracy of the barometer sensor may degrade over time. Techniques can include determining that the UE is at a consistent location over time. When the UE is at the location, the sensor data can be captured over time and stored. Data can be grouped by time periods (e.g., weekly, monthly, etc.) and a metric, such as an average value, can be determined. Over time, metrics can be compared to determine a drift in sensor accuracy. Differences in metrics can be used to determine calibration data, such as an offset, to calibrate subsequent sensor data. The offset can be applied to later-captured sensor data to provide more accurate data, which can ultimately result in more a more accurate determination of an elevation of the UE.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2021Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: T-Mobile USA, Inc.Inventor: Wei-Ming Lan

Patent number: 12212470Abstract: Systems and methods for using a user simulation model to facilitate detection of usage anomalies is disclosed. Usage data is received for a session between a user device and an application or service. The usage data is monitored to detect a usage anomaly, such as unusual or suspicious transactions, unexpected user or device attributes, or abnormal usage patterns. In response to detecting a request to terminate the session, the session is instead handed off to a user simulation model that simulates interactions of a user in the session.
