  • Patent number: 12363741
Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to providing radio resources to facilitate a predicted transition to active mode by idle user equipment in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. An example method can include predicting that a user equipment of a group of user equipment in an idle mode will transition to an active mode after passage of a time duration, starting from the predicting, that is lower than a time threshold. The method can further include identifying base station equipment that is able to provide coverage to the user equipment during the passage of the time duration before the user equipment transitions to the active mode. Further, the method can include prioritizing allocation of, within the group of user equipment, an antenna resource of the base station equipment to provide the coverage to facilitate an active mode connection by the user equipment to the base station equipment.

  • Patent number: 12360873
Abstract: A flow logging utility tracer (“FLUTE”) system can present a FLUTE user interface through which the FLUTE system can receive a trace request. The FLUTE system can interface, via a FLUTE controller, with a FLUTE adapter corresponding to a cloud environment associated with the trace request. The FLUTE adaptor can extract event log data from a log repository corresponding to the cloud environment. The FLUTE adapter can filter the event log data according to a logging specification. The FLUTE adapter can transform the filtered event log data for compatibility with a FLUTE stitcher. The FLUTE stitcher can generate tracing data based upon the event log data. The FLUTE stitcher can correlate the tracing data based upon a common identifier enforced by the logging specification, prepare the tracing data for publication to a distributed tracing system, and publish the tracing data to the distributed tracing system for storage.

  • Patent number: 12361063
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards generating an annotated visual playback of an incident. Upon obtaining notification of an incident, event data occurring in the incident zone and timeframe are obtained (e.g., collected) from sensors proximate the zone. The event data is used to annotate a visual playback captured by one or more cameras, e.g., within a timeframe ranging from some time before the incident occurred to the end of the incident. For example, a video can be presented with overlaid annotation data, each annotation describing an event as it occurred in time, in conjunction with an advancing timestamp overlay showing the time of the video frames. A simulated video, e.g., extended reality video, can also be generated, along with annotations and timeframe data, such as if captured from camera(s) from one or more various different perspectives.

  • Publication number: 20250227892
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards a short message service (SMS) congestion manager that can evaluate, predict, and mitigate SMS congestion. The SMS congestion manager can be implemented within a short message services function (SMSF) of a fifth generation (5G) or subsequent generation cellular network. The SMS congestion manager can monitor a volume of non-access stratum (NAS) SMS messages in order to detect potential overload conditions wherein the volume of messages exceeds a capability of a network function. In response to detecting potential overload conditions, the SMS congestion manager can inhibit messages directed to the network function in order to prevent overloads from developing. The SMS congestion manager can use machine learning to learn to detect the potential overload conditions as well as to learn actions to take to address the potential overload conditions.

  • Patent number: 12355722
Abstract: Techniques for validating alignment between network element configuration and DNS records associated with a communication network are presented. Alignment management component (AMC) can retrieve respective configuration parameter data items relating to respective configuration parameters associated with respective resource-related identifiers, and respective metadata items associated with the respective resource-related identifiers, from a configuration data store; and retrieve respective DNS records from respective DNS name servers, based on analyzing the respective metadata items associated with respective DNS records. For each resource-related identifier that is supposed to have a corresponding DNS record, based on the result of analyzing the respective configuration parameter data items and respective DNS records, AMC can determine whether the resource-related identifier has a corresponding DNS record stored in the DNS name server indicated by the metadata item.

  • Publication number: 20250220392
Abstract: Locations and azimuths of cells of a communication network can be estimated, determined, and validated. Cell attribute management component (CAMC) can estimate, determine, and/or validate cell locations based on analysis of timing advance (TA) measurement data and/or location data associated with devices associated with base stations associated with cells. CAMC can estimate azimuth of a cell associated with a base station based on analysis of a validated cell location of the cell and location data associated with devices associated with the cell. CAMC can determine whether a recorded azimuth of the cell is validated based on analysis of the estimated azimuth of the cell and the recorded azimuth of the cell. CAMC can tag the recorded azimuth of the cell as validated if applicable azimuth accuracy criteria is met, inaccurate if applicable azimuth criteria is not met, or omni if the cell is an omni cell.

  • Publication number: 20250220257
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a threshold value of a streaming-media key performance indicator (KPI) based on a predetermined target portion of end-user devices that provide an acceptable performance. Performance records are obtained for a content delivery network (CDN) adapted to cache and serve media content requested by the end-user devices. Predicted values of the streaming-media KPI are generated according to the performance records of the CDN and compared to the threshold value of the streaming-media KPI to obtain a comparison. An anomaly is detected according to the comparison, to indicate that a predetermined number of the predicted values of the streaming-media KPI fail to satisfy the threshold value. Other embodiments are disclosed.
