Publication number: 20250202761Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to a notification traffic anomaly detector. The notification traffic anomaly detector can receive, from a notification system, notification traffic data associated with at least one of notification requests or notifications processed by the notification system. The notification traffic anomaly detector can determine, using at least one machine learning model, whether the notification traffic data indicates an anomaly associated with the notification requests and/or the notifications processed by the notification system. In response to determining that the notification traffic data indicates an anomaly associated with the notification requests and/or the notifications processed by the notification system, the notification traffic anomaly detector can generate an anomaly notification and provide the anomaly notification to the notification system while at least one of notification requests or the notifications is being processed by the notification system.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2023Publication date: June 19, 2025Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Willa Ehrlich, Muralidhar Siddabathula, Sudharani Parvangada

Publication number: 20250203350Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards detecting improbable speeds of a mobile device, which can indicate fraudulent activity with respect to the mobile device. Radio access network events and call detail records are processed to determine when a mobile device “travel jumps” between locations at improbable speeds. Events corresponding to handovers between adjacent cells are filtered out. For events corresponding to changed cell towers that are non-adjacent, further processing is performed to determine the speed of the mobile device travel between the cells. A first speed threshold is selected based on possible air travel (a cell near an airport) or a second non-air travel speed threshold is selected. If the speed of the mobile device exceeds the selected speed threshold, a travel jump is determined. Exceptions can be made for gaps in connectivity due to topography (known inconsistent reception areas) and for a mobile device shutting down and restarting.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2025Publication date: June 19, 2025Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Yaron Koral, Lauro Lins

Patent number: 12333238Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to embedding texts into high dimensional vectors in natural language processing (“NLP”). According to one aspect, an NLP system can receive an input text that includes n number of words. The NLP system can encode the input text into a first matrix using a word embedding algorithm, such as Word2Vec algorithm. The NLP system can encode the input text into the Word2Vec by embedding each word in the n number of words of the input text into a k-dimensional Word2Vec vector using the Word2Vec algorithm. The NLP system also can decode the first matrix into a second matrix using a text embedding algorithm. In some embodiments, the second matrix is a congruence derivative matrix. The NLP system can then output the second matrix to a machine learning module that implements a machine learning technique such as short text classification.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2022Date of Patent: June 17, 2025Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventors: Changchuan Yin, Shahzad Saeed
