  • Patent number: 12034233
Abstract: A method includes determining an operating frequency of an antenna at a component of the antenna. The method includes determining, at the component of the antenna, a filter node of a plurality of filter nodes to activate to tune the antenna to the operating frequency. The method includes transmitting power to the filter node, wherein the power is transmitted via a first optical fiber. The method also includes sending a signal from the component to a light source. The activation of the light source sends an optical signal to the filter node. The filter node adjusts a characteristic of a radiating element coupled to the filter node using the power responsive to the optical signal. Adjustment of the characteristic facilitates tuning the antenna to the operating frequency.

  • Patent number: 12034603
Abstract: Described is pooling baseband units into a hub and mapping radio units associated with the hub to baseband units of the group based on respective resource capacity data of the respective baseband units and an estimated resource usage data of a device that couples to a baseband unit. In one alternative, estimated peak resource usage data of a radio unit over an operation interval is used to select a baseband unit, generally based on which baseband unit of the pool has the least remaining resource capacity, to which the radio unit is mapped for the operation interval. In another alterative, estimated peak resource usage data resource (usage and duration) of a user equipment session is used to dynamically map the user equipment session to a baseband unit, generally selected by which baseband unit of the pool has the least remaining resource capacity.

  • Patent number: 12035350
Abstract: Adaptive pairing of an access point (AP) slice with other computing resource slices is disclosed. Pairing of an AP slice can comprise pairing to a radio access network (RAN) slice and/or to a network core component (core) slice. The pairing can be based on end point device information, AP environment information, user preference information, and state information for a RAN and/or CN slice. Coordinating or synchronization of AP, RAN, and/or core slices can enable streamlining of migration of a device from an AP component to a RAN component. Moreover, AP slice coordination can enable efficient use of network computing resources tailored to needs of devices connecting to an AP device. A determined pairing, e.g., AP-core, AP-RAN-core, RAN-core, etc., can be modified before provisioning or after provisioning in response to changes in device demands and/or AP state/environment.

  • Patent number: 12035248
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a power control system in a multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network. In the multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network, a donor node can communicate with user equipment devices and relay nodes that have varying power levels; and to avoid receiving uplink transmissions with varying power levels which can impact automatic gain control systems and lower overall throughput, the power control system can manage the power levels of the relay node in order to reduce the difference in power levels. The power control system can schedule relay node devices to transmit uplink transmissions alongside user equipment devices that have a high signal strength; schedule relay nodes and user equipment devices to separate symbols within a time slot; and/or perform closed loop power control management at the relay node to reduce the power level for an uplink transmission.

  • Publication number: 20240223598
Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to using proof of work for preventing distributed denial of server (“DDOS”) attacks. A server system can receive a resource request from a client system. The resource request can specify a resource. The server system can determine a congestion level based upon a load metric and a threshold. In response to determining that the load metric is above the threshold, the server system can determine that the congestion level is indicative of a high demand period. In response to the resource request being received during the high demand period, the server system can provide a work assignment to the client system. The server system can receive work results for the work assignment sent to the client system. In response to receiving the work results, the server system can process the resource request and can send the resource to the client system.
