Patent number: 10462051Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a first network element in local communication with a gateway of a core network portion of a mobility network. Establishment of a first logical network connection is facilitated between the first network element and a second network element in local communication with a remotely accessible system, such as a back-end system of an enterprise data center or cloud service provider. A request from a mobile device serviced by the mobility network is detected for access to a service of the remotely accessible system. The request and/or a translation of the request is forwarded to the second network element by way of the first logical network connection. The second network element forwards the translated request to the remotely accessible system. Other embodiments are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2019Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: AT&T Mobility II LLCInventor: Arturo Maria

Patent number: 10461821Abstract: Precoder weights can be indicated to a carrier unit to increase network efficiency. To indicate precoder weights to the carrier unit, various types of precoding data can be used to schedule user equipment. For example, a baseband unit can compress precoding coefficients for channel state information reference signals for a remote radio unit and for a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) to reduce a signaling cost between the remote radio unit and the baseband unit. Because both the baseband unit and the remote radio unit can have access to the basis vectors the basis vectors can be multiplied by coefficients to transmit the compressed weight of the basis vectors. Thus, allowing the remote radio unit to reconstruct the basis vector for the channel state information reference signals.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2018Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: SaiRamesh Nammi, Arunabha Ghosh, Milap Majmundar, Aditya Chopra

Patent number: 10461910Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for switching between non-orthogonal and orthogonal multiple access protocols dynamically. A base station device can determine whether a user equipment device on a communication link should use a non-orthogonal multiple access system or an orthogonal multiple access system based on one or more attributes of the communication link, and send an indication of the selection to the user equipment device. The base station device can indicate the selection using a spreading factor parameter that is either equal to one or greater than one. If the spreading factor parameter is equal to one, that can indicate to the user equipment device to use an orthogonal multiple access system, whereas if the spreading factor parameter is greater than one, that can indicate to the user equipment device to use a non-orthogonal multiple access system.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2018Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: SaiRamesh Nammi, Saeed Ghassemzadeh, Arunabha Ghosh

Patent number: 10460352Abstract: Advertisement vendors can be dynamically selected in response to a request from a wireless communication device. A mediation router can receive an ad request from a portal interfaced with a wireless device. Specifically, the mediation router analyzes the request and dynamically selects an ad vendor to service the request, based in part on the analysis. The selected ad vendor supplies the ad and the mediation router ensures that the portal receives the ad. The mediation router selects an ad vendor in a variety of ways including, but not limited to, business decision rules or artificial intelligence and/or a combination thereof. The mediation router further employs customer profiles that help vendors target advertisements to specific consumers and wireless devices.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2018Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: AT&T MOBILITY II LLCInventors: Matthew Hull, Goshtasb Foroutan

Patent number: 10462727Abstract: Media is distributed via a scalable ad hoc geographic routing/broadcast protocol. Media can be transmitted from a mobile device to a cluster of mobile devices that are geographically located in a particular region. Devices that are located between the source and the intended target can act as routers with the ability to forward data packets toward the intended destination. In essence, a geocast network cloud is established, allowing any device within the cloud to communicate with any other device in the cloud. Devices in the network can constantly change position and the transmission path through the network can be constantly changing. The geocast protocol adapts to the changing conditions.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2018Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Robert J. Patent number: 10461896Abstract: Configuring channel state information configuration parameters can reduce user equipment uplink feedback information. The user equipment can send the uplink feedback information to the network node by adapting the repetition factor based on one or more criteria. The repetition factor can be determined by the user equipment and/or a network node associated with the user equipment. Thus, reducing the frequency of reporting uplink feedback information can reduce power usage, signal interference, and increase battery life.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2017Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventor: SaiRamesh Nammi
