Abstract: A distribution head of an impact mill rotates about a vertical axis and throws raw material against a cylindrically-shaped impact body. The latter has a rotational axis, which forms an angle with the vertical axis to equalize the wear over the height of the impact body.
Abstract: A line diverter has a valve body (2) comprising at least two channels (3), the valve body (2) being displaceable within a casing (1) provided with at least three tubular connection pieces (4). The casing (1) is gastight. In between valve body (2) and casing (1) there is provided a free gas chamber (12), within which the valve body (2)--with the exception of the front surfaces assigned to the end surfaces (8) of the channels (3)--is so arranged that it does not have any contact with the inner surfaces of the casing. A sealing arrangement, which may be employed also for one-channel or multi-channel rotary diverters, comprises a sealing plate (7) within the casing (1), the sealing plate being provided with at least one open passage area corresponding to the channel end surfaces (8). The sealing plate (7) is compressed against the channel end surface(s) by a force acting perpendicularly to the direction of displacement.
Abstract: Polyester granulates, in particular slowly crystallizing adhesive copolyesters are crystallized in two fluidized beds (1, 2) arranged in series and are guided into an impact apparatus (3) for the subsequent comminution of the small agglomerates. The first fluidized bed (1) is an effervescent fluidized layer with mixing characteristic and the second fluidized bed (2) is a flow bed with a plug flow characteristic. The second fluidized bed (2) ensures an adequate treatment duration in order to crystallize the amorphous grains of granulate which remain after the first fluidized bed (1).

Abstract: A device for grinding and separating grains, in particular for grinding malt, consisting of at least two roll packages (4, 5, 6) in the form of, with respect to their forces, self-contained units arranged vertically above each other on load-bearing columns (2) of a machine housing (3), and of a pair of screen units (7, 8) oscillating above the lowermost roll package (6) in opposite direction in a horizontal plane and thus with little vibration with respect to the overall device. The screen units are articulated on the machine housing (3) by relatively short levers (27', 29, 31', 33) into which the drive forces for the vibratory equipment are introduced from the center of the machine in such a manner that all rotating parts of the drive (9) are located outside the dusty screen space.
Abstract: A sorting machine for grained products comprises at least one sorting board which is inclined relative to horizontal and vertical planes and reciprocatingly vibratable in a plane and direction suitable for sorting, a unit for supplying a product to be sorted and arranged in one region of the sorting board and a unit for separating and withdrawing a sorted product and located in another region of the sorting board, the sorting board with the supplying unit and the separating and withdrawing unit together forming a sorting unit, two imbalance drives which operate in opposite directions and cooperate with the sorting unit for driving the latter in vibration, a base frame, a unit forming at least three supporting points on which the sorting unit is supported in a vibration-damping manner freely movably so as to provide inclination of the sorting unit relative to horizontal and vertical planes, and a unit for additionally adjusting the inclination relative to the horizontal and vertical planes.
Abstract: A device for the removal of liquid samples from a liquid receptacle comprises a sample container with a piston which subdivides the container into a first chamber receiving a liquid sample and a second chamber receiving a piston driving medium. The device further includes a dosing device for the piston driving medium, which is connectable to the sample container by a plug-in coupling which can be locked at both sides thereof.
Abstract: A device for welding foils, webs or bags having differing thickness along a line to be welded at right angles to a conveying direction includes a pair of elongated welding dies movable relative to one another and one of which has an elongated, periodically heatable electric resistance heating element having serially-connected sections of differing electrical resistance along its length defined by zonal variations in cross sectional area of the heating element, e.g., areas of differing heating element width. Each section of differing resistance corresponds in length and position to the differing thickness along the line to be welded and is so dimensioned that, prior to initial contact with that line to be welded, the heating element has a higher temperature in the zones of lesser cross-sectional area corresponding to the thicker areas of the line to be welded than at a the at the zones of greater cross sectional area corresponding to the thinner areas thereof.
