  • Patent number: 10472068
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, an intermediate retaining assembly secures a rearmost equipment item of at least two horizontally-stacked equipment items within an aircraft galley compartment. The intermediate retaining assembly may include a manual control coupled to a first end of a rod where rotation of the manual control causes rotation of the rod. A retaining lever may engage a second end of the rod upon moving the rod to an axially extended position such that rotation of the rod causes the retaining lever to rotate between a position for securing the rearmost equipment item and a position for removing the rearmost equipment item from or inserting into the compartment. A mounting plate may be secured to an interior surface of the compartment and may have a recess for receiving the retaining lever, preventing the retaining lever from interfering with the equipment item during insertion into or release from the compartment.

  • Patent number: 10471913
Abstract: In one example, a load-bearing, three-dimensional printed part resists a load. The load-bearing part has a load-receiving member, a support member, and a network of interconnected branches. The load-receiving member has an outer surface that receives the load. The support member is offset from the load-receiving member along a first direction. The network of interconnected branches extends from the load-receiving member to the support member, and includes a first primary branch and an auxiliary branch. The first primary branch has a first primary-branch end attached to one of the load-receiving member and the support member. The auxiliary branch has a first auxiliary-branch end attached to the first primary branch, and a second auxiliary-branch end attacked to one of (i) the load-receiving member, (ii) the support member, and (iii) a second primary branch.

  • Patent number: 10474102
Abstract: A method for digitally generating a hologram plane from a three-dimensional scene, cut into a plurality of planes parallel to the hologram plane. The method includes for a current plane: counting a number of points of the non-zero amplitude scene; choosing a first or second technique for propagating a light wave emitted by the current plane as a function of a number of points of non-zero amplitude included in the current plane and with a preset threshold value, the first, point-based technique calculating the propagation of a sum of light waves emitted by point sources constituted by the points of the scene portion of a non-zero amplitude of the current plane on a following plane, and the second, field-based technique, globally calculating a light wave emitted by the scene portion situated in the current plane on a given plane; and processing the current plane according to the chosen propagation technique.

  • Patent number: 10472069
Abstract: A release pin that includes a shaft having an axially-extending large diameter segment, an axially-extending small diameter segment, a first head on a first end of the shaft adjacent the small diameter segment and a second head on a second end of the shaft adjacent the large diameter segment for capturing the pin in a bore in a first linkage. A spring residing on the small diameter segment and captured between the first head and the first linkage biases the shaft in a connected position with the large diameter segment of the shaft positioned in the bore of the linkage and the small diameter segment of the shaft exterior to the bore of the linkage. The large diameter segment is sized to capture a pivot hook on an end of a second linkage when in the connected position. The small diameter segment is sized to permit the pivot hook of the second linkage to be disconnected from the first linkage when the spring is compressed and the small diameter segment is positioned in the pivot hook of the second linkage.

  • Patent number: 10477338
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are therefore provided for providing a navigation user interface. The apparatus may be caused to: receive an indication of location based information for a user; provide for generation of a first auditory cue, where generation of the first auditory cue may include generating an audio cue having a virtual source location using three-dimensional audio effects. Providing for generation of the first auditory cue may include causing the apparatus to: provide for generation of a beginning of the first auditory cue at a first virtual source location; and provide for generation of a transition phase of the first auditory cue moving the virtual source location from the first virtual source location along a trajectory and ending at a second virtual source location, where the second virtual source location is a location positioned between the user and a location identified in the location based information.

  • Patent number: 10471247
Abstract: A catheter coupling has a tubing and two jaws extending in the longitudinal direction of the tubing which form a channel having an orifice to accommodate an end section of a catheter when the jaws abut against each other. The jaws are interconnected at a respective jaw end via a jaw joint having a joint axis extending transversely to the tubing. The other jaw end includes a snap-in locking member and a counter snap-in locking member, respectively, interacting therewith to form a snap-in locking arrangement. In the engagement position, the tubing is deformed by at least one jaw deformation component to securely accommodate the catheter. The coupling has at least one inspection window that allows a stop in the tubing for the end section of the catheter to be visually inspected to prevent an end section of the catheter from being introduced into the tubing if it is too short.
