Abstract: In the method for controlling actuators, corresponding actuators are controlled so that they eject the ink droplets for the print image. Corresponding actuators are additionally controlled in order to eject refresh droplets in the image background according to a random distribution. In the event that no image droplet is printed between two successive refresh droplets, the ink meniscus is set into vibration as a refresh measure between the refresh droplets.

  • Publication number: 20180056679
Abstract: A printing system includes a print station disposed at a sheet transport path, a feed section arranged to feed media sheets of different media types into the transport path so as to be fed sequentially to the print station, and a controller arranged to receive print instructions concerning images to be printed, to schedule a sequence of the media sheets, and to control the feed section and the print station such that each image is printed on a sheet of a media type that has been specified for that image in the print instructions. A sensor is arranged at the transport path for detecting a quality condition of the sheets being fed to the print station, and the controller is adapted to receive a quality signal from the sensor and, when the quality of a sheet is found to be insufficient, to skip that sheet and to reroute the corresponding image to another scheduled sheet that is compatible with the print instructions.

Abstract: A high angle overboard system and method for the deployment of subsea equipment from a marine vessel. The overboard guide system deploys a deployment line from a surface vessel into a body of water at an angle alpha. The angle alpha may be at least 15 degrees and may be greater than 20, 25, 30, 45, or even 60 degrees or more during some or all portions of the subsea operations. The overboard system may be located near the splashzone of the surface vessel or a distance beneath a water surface. The overboard system may take any number of configurations, such as a cone shape, and/or may comprise a plurality of rollers or one or more sheaves. The overboard system allows a subsea device to be operated at higher deployment angles as compared to prior art subsea operations, such as with A-frame LARS systems.
