Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for operating brake lights on moving vehicles. A sensor transduces level or state of current braking of the vehicle. The transduced level or state of braking is converted into an instruction to produce a display of luminance at the brake lights which is proportional to the level or state of current braking to allow viewers to react accordingly. In one example, brake fluid pressure in the braking system is measured to transduce level or state of braking. Preset thresholds of brake fluid pressure are correlated to plural braking levels or states. Luminance at the brake light is expanded or contracted in real time with the changing of braking levels or states.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a navigation system provides predictive natural guidance utilizing a mobile landmark based on location data. The location data may be a schedule. A controller receives data of a schedule of a mobile landmark. The location data could be collected in real time or estimated. The mobile landmark may be a vehicle or a celestial body. The controller correlates a route from an origin location to a destination location and the location of the mobile landmark. The controller generates a message based on the correlation. The message is output during presentation of the route and references the mobile landmark.
Abstract: In one embodiment, image detection is improved or accelerated using an approximate range query to classify images. A controller is trained on a set of training feature vectors. The training feature vectors represent an image. The feature vectors are normalized to a uniform length. The controller defines a matching space that includes the set of training feature vectors. The controller is configured to identify whether an input vector for a tested image falls within the matching space based on a range query. When the input vector falls within the matching space, the tested image substantially matches the portion of the image used to train the controller.
Abstract: A vacuum system for extracting a stream of a multi-phase fluid from a photo-lithography tool comprises a pumping arrangement for drawing the fluid from the tool, and an extraction tank located upstream from the pumping arrangement for separating the fluid drawn from the tool into gas and liquid phases. The pumping arrangement comprises a first pump for extracting gas from the tank, and a second pump for extracting liquid from the tank. In order to minimize any pressure fluctuations transmitted from the vacuum system back to the fluid within the tool, a pressure control system maintains a substantially constant pressure in the tank by regulating the amounts of liquid and gas within the tank.

Abstract: A method for depositing a film to form an air gap within a semiconductor device is disclosed. An exemplary method comprises pulsing a metal halide precursor onto the substrate and pulsing an oxygen precursor onto a selective deposition surface. The method can be used to form an air gap to, for example, reduce a parasitic resistance of the semiconductor device.
Abstract: A land based dynamic sea motion simulating test drilling rig has a soil bound foundation and a pivot structure secured to said foundation. A motion base is mounted on said pivot structure and pivotable about at least one horizontal pivot axis. A drilling tower is erected on said motion base and is provided with a hoisting device adapted to manipulate a drill string section in a vertical firing line. A drilling tubulars storage vertically stores drilling tubulars and a tubulars racker device moves drilling tubulars between the drilling tubulars storage device and the firing line allowing for assembly and disassembly of a drill string section in the firing line. A motion drive is provided which is adapted to impart cyclic pivoting motion about said at least one horizontal pivot axis to the assembly of the drilling tower, drilling tubulars storage, and tubulars racker device in order to simulate said assembly being subjected to a sea state induced motion.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Solanum lycopersicum seed designated 72-629 RZ. The present invention also relates to a Solanum lycopersicum plant produced by growing the 72-629 RZ seed. The invention further relates to methods for producing the tomato cultivar, represented by tomato variety 72-629 RZ.
Abstract: A lithographic apparatus includes a reflector to redirect a radiation beam, e.g. an EUV beam. The position of the reflector is controlled using a controller and a positioning system. The positioning system includes a non-compensating actuator device and a compensating actuator device to compensate for parasitic forces of the non-compensating actuator device. The positioning system and controller can provide a more accurate position of the reflector, reduce deformation of the reflector and reduce the magnitude of forces transmitting through the reflector.

Abstract: An approach for presenting a comparison of progress information associated with transport modes, routes, or a combination thereof is described. A transport comparison platform determines progress information for at least one device associated with at least one mode of transport, at least one route, or a combination thereof. The transport comparison platform determines other progress information associated with at least another mode of transport, at least another route, or a combination thereof. The transport comparison platform causes, at least in part, a presentation of a comparison of the progress information against the other progress information.
