  • Patent number: 9830898
Abstract: In an arrangement for transmitting power or data through a solid rigid substrate without penetrating the substrate, acoustic transducer components are mounted on the substrate by means of strain isolator elements which are welded or otherwise bonded to the substrate and providing an attachment surface to which the attachment interface of the acoustic transducer may be attached. The strain isolator element is of the same or similar acoustic impedance as the rigid substrate and may indeed be formed of the same material. Various geometries of strain isolator are disclosed, including a plain spacer block, and one comprising a stalk attached to the solid rigid substrate and topped by a disc in a ‘mushroom’ configuration.

  • Patent number: 9830726
Abstract: A system for real-time or near real-time coordination of personnel and a method for creating a gridded reference graphic (GRG) for use in such a system is provided. A GRG is created by obtaining imagery of an area a team is to be operating in, wherein the imagery is obtained from overhead, taken from a position substantially orthogonal to the central portion of the area of operation. A grid, which may then be further modified with labels allowing identification of areas within the grid, is then overlaid thereon, creating a GRG. The GRG may then be served to personnel and displayed on a user device. The system includes a GRG comprising scale images of an intended area of operation, a labeled grid overlaid thereon and a scale for measurement of distances wherein the GRG are dispersed among and displayed to personnel.

  • Patent number: 9825842
Abstract: A network test system seeks to improve visibility into the real-time operation of a network system or subsystem of a spacecraft through the use of a port from each relevant network to a spacecraft test interface. The network test system includes a packet switch operatively coupled downstream from a SERDES receiver and operatively coupled upstream from a SERDES transmitter. The packet switch in conjunction with the signal replicator in the SERDES receiver taps off a data stream of the network activity so that the port allows an observation device to passively observe the network activity. The system is adapted to increase real-time observation of network activity without disturbing the network.
