  • Patent number: 10887334
Abstract: A cybersecurity system and method utilizing SOUND reputation, where a set of reputations are associated with each actor on a network. The actors on a network may be users, hosts, applications, and the like. The associated reputations are aggregated and updated as new information about an actor's activity is reported according to a defined and modifiable protocol, or policy. The actor's activity may be reported by one or more threat sensors. The effect of a particular misbehavior can be tuned to match the needs of the specific network. When a bad actor's reputation sinks too low, the system can take whatever action is appropriate: reports can be sent, an operator can be notified, the offender can be cut off from the network, or the like.

  • Patent number: 10876457
Abstract: Systems, devices, methods and programs for reducing emissions from engines are provided. For example, one system for reducing emissions from engines comprises a heating controller coupled to an energy storage device (ESD). The heating controller is configured to control a heating element to heat one or more components of an after-treatment system using energy from the ESD under a first condition and to control the heating element to stop heating the one or more components of the after-treatment system when a second condition is satisfied. Additionally, another system for reducing emissions from engines comprises a controller detecting a decrease in a demanded torque from an engine and an ISG. The controller is then configured to operate a clutch to disengage the engine from the ISG, if after removing fuel from the engine, the sensed speed of the engine is above a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200393229
Abstract: Techniques and architecture are disclosed for a system that includes a fuze at a leading end of a projectile body and a fuze setter configured to engage the fuze and to program the same prior to launch. The system, in one example, includes a plurality of electrical contact pads on an exterior surface of a fuze radome housing and a plurality of electrical contact pins on the fuze setter. The electrical contact pads are arranged in a rotationally symmetric pattern that enables an electrical interface to be formed with the electrical contact pins, regardless of the rotational orientation of the fuze. Commutation is performed to rotate signals to the electrical contact pins instead of requiring that the fuze be physically rotated to bring the electrical contact pads into alignment with the electrical contact pins.

  • Patent number: 10865901
Abstract: A pressure relief valve having two rigid sealing surfaces lapped to a smoothness Ra of 8 micro-inches or less, and flatness within 80 micro-inches, forms a reliable seal by direct contact therebetween without an elastomer. The sealing surfaces and surrounding structures can be made of one or more metals, such as alloys of stainless steel, and can be CTE-matched, so that the valve is not impeded by environmental temperature changes. In a disclosed embodiment, a “poppet” is axially pressed against a seal plate by a spring. The poppet can be axially stabilized by sliding within a surrounding cylinder or spacer, and can contact the surrounding surface with a plurality of “arms” that reduce friction and enable gas flow therebetween. The poppet can be made from anti-galling Nitronic 60 alloy, and the surrounding structures can be stainless steel. Embodiments are suitable for low-pressure gas applications in extreme environments.

  • Patent number: 10863128
Abstract: A system produces an interpolated luminance-balanced monochrome image from a Red-Clear-Clear-Clear (RCCC) pattern image. It may include an imager having a RCCC pattern filter array. There is an interpolation processing module with one or more processors processing sampled, red filtered image pixels. A red plane is interpolated using the sampled, red filtered pixels, producing an interpolated red for the pixels. The interpolated red pixels are subtracted from the sampled clear pixels, producing a “Clear minus Red” (“C?R”) plane. A C?R value is interpolated for the red filtered pixels. The interpolated C?R value is added to the sampled red pixels, and the monochrome image is output, where the luminance is balanced across the pixels, especially in low and very light environments.
