Abstract: Sintered moldings are produced by molding a mixture of a sinterable ceramic or metallic powder and polyoxymethylene or a copolymer containing a majority of oxymethylene units as binder to give a compact, removing the binder by treatment with a gaseous acid, and sintering the product, which comprises removing the binder using an acid which is solid at room temperature and sublimes or melts and evaporates at elevated temperatures.

Abstract: Polyaryl ether ketones are prepared by electrophilic polycondensation using acyl halides as monomer components in the presence of a Lewis acid, by a process in which from 0.001 to 60% by weight of an inert filler or of a component which can be converted into an inert filler during working up are added to the reaction mixture before or during the polycondensation.

Abstract: Molding compositions based on polyaryl ethers A, are obtainable by reacting polyaryl ethers I with repeating structural elements ##STR1## or derivatives thereof substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, chlorine or fluorine in the nucleus, where X and Z, independently of one another, are each --SO.sub.2 --, --O--, --S--, >C.dbd.O a chemical bond or --CRR'--, R and R' are each hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or alkoxy, R' is also aryl or fluoro- or chloro-substituted aryl, with the proviso that X and Z are not both --O--, with a reactive compound which, besides a C--C double or triple bond, contains one or more carbonyl, carboxylic acid, carboxylate, acid anhydride, amide, imide, carboxylic ester, amino, hydroxyl, epoxy, oxazoline, urethane, urea, lactam or halobenzyl moieties.

Abstract: The present invention relates to ionic and nonionic polyamide modified polyurethane polymers for use in coating compositions, a method for forming the polymer and coating compositions containing these polymers. The polyamide modified polyurethane polymers of the present invention include polyamide formed from aromatic, aliphatic, or cycloaliphatic anhydrides or diacid halides and an amine containing compound such as amino alcohol, amino thiol, diamine or mixtures thereof, wherein the reactive terminii of the polyamide ere substituted by hydroxyl or thiol functional groups, together with a chain extending alcohol and diisocyanate functional monomer.

Abstract: Packaging containers, comprising an at least two-part cardboard blank, for pancakes are described, bottom part and top part containing a central circular clearance, through which a hub sleeve consisting of plastic is inserted. The pancakes are stackably arranged one after the other on said hub sleeve, after which the top part is placed on and then the side parts are folded up. A shrink film is drawn over the entire pack. In this way, the contents of the pack are protected against damage during transit both by the cardboard and by the shrink film. The pack is recyclable or reusable.
