  • Publication number: 20050166701
Abstract: Bowden cable is provided with an interchangeable curved guide part which is detachably connected to a fastening element. • Publication number: 20050162862
Abstract: A lamp system, especially for a motor vehicle, has a casing that is covered by a clear, optically neutral lens and that contains at least one light source composed of a light bulb and an associated reflector. A screen in the form of a semireflecting mirror is positioned between the lens and the light source in such a way as to separate a posterior lamp section that accommodates the light source from an anterior lamp section defined by the screen and the lens. Consequently, to an observer looking in the direction of the light source, the posterior lamp section is indiscernible while the screen is transparent to the light emitted by the light bulb when the lamp is turned on.

  • Publication number: 20050141565
Abstract: The invention refers to one of a number of nodes of a communication system. The nodes are connected to a communication media for transmitting data among the nodes. Said one node comprises a communication controller, across which the node is connected to the communication media, and a bus guardian for controlling access of the communication controller to the communication media. In order to provide a cheap but nevertheless reliable way for monitoring the synchronized clock signal of a node of a communication system and in particular for detecting deviations of the synchronized clock signal it is suggested that a synchronized clock signal from the communication controller is made available to the bus guardian, and that the bus guardian comprises means for monitoring the synchronized clock signal using a bus guardian internal clock signal, which is generated by means of an electronic circuit and which is less accurate than the synchronized clock signal to be monitored.

  • Patent number: 6907852
Abstract: In a valve-driving device for variable adjustment of the lift of a gas exchange valve of an internal combustion engine, wherein the gas exchange valve co-operates, via a transfer element, with a roller which can move about an axis of rotation, with a control path having an idling lift curve and a lift curve in an end area of a spring-loaded pivoting level which is controlled by a cam associated with a cam shaft in order to actuate the lifting of said gas exchange valve. In order to obtain a pure pivoting movement of the pivoting lever, the pivoting center of motion forms a constant instantaneous center of rotation during any actuation of said lift. In order to prevent an impact arising from the valve clearance, the control path of the pivoting lever comprises a ramp, which is correspondingly adapted to the respective valve clearance, between the idling lift curve and the lift curve.

  • Publication number: 20050107929
Abstract: The process provides for storing and/or updating control unit data, such as a program code for sequence control characteristic diagram control, of at least one control unit of a motor vehicle, which are stored in a memory, such as particularly a solid state memory, assigned to the control unit. To shorten the time required for storing and/or updating such control unit data of one or more control units the control unit data are stored in and read out of a data carrier. They are then stored in the memory assigned to the control unit.

  • Publication number: 20050099035
Abstract: A plastic fender has an upper first edge area and a second edge area extending at an approximately 90° angle thereto. The fender is fixed to the vehicle body in the second edge area by a screw. Furthermore, along the first and second edge areas, a plurality of spaced-apart elongated holes is provided, which admit a mounting section of a guide element which in turn is mounted to the vehicle body with a mounting screw. On the mounting sections of the guide elements, a guide edge covering, respectively, the opposite longitudinal edges of an elongated hole is provided such that, during thermal expansion, the fender can elongate unhindered. For this purpose, the longitudinal extent of the mounting section of the guide elements is shorter than the corresponding longitudinal extent of the elongated hole.

  • Patent number: 6877907
Abstract: An arrangement of several ferrules for optical waveguides having at least one connection section, two ferrules respectively mutually connected by way of a connection section or mutually connected by way of a belt. In an advantageous embodiment, the ferrules are connected in one piece with the belt. In a process for producing a belt having plastic ferrules, the following process steps are implemented: Injection-molding a first plastic ferrule, conveying the finished plastic ferrule by a defined distance, and injection-molding a second plastic ferrule, so that it is connected with the first plastic ferrule. The process may further include belt segments which are injection-molded with the plastic ferrules.

  • Patent number: 6857708
Abstract: A wheel cover for a vehicle wheel has a holding device which is activated by a lateral pressing-on of the appropriately position wheel cover, to fix the wheel cover on the wheel body. The holding device is deactivated by another pressing-on of the wheel cover in the same direction, so that the wheel cover can then easily be removed from the wheel body. For this purpose, the holding device includes a connecting link path as well as a detent pin guided therein during the mounting of the wheel cover. During mounting of the wheel cover on the wheel body, the free end of the detent pin is guided in the connecting link path such that, a first pressing-on of the wheel cover causes it to arrive in a detent position in the connecting link path, while a second pressing-on changes it out of the detent position, into a connecting link path section by way of which the detent pin can be guided out of the connecting link path. The wheel cover can preferably be pressed onto the wheel body against a spring force.

  • Publication number: 20040223316
Abstract: An illuminable component includes a basic support, a voltage transducer, a luminous foil, a transparent intermediate part, and a non-illuminable part. The basic support has an opening, and the voltage transducer is disposed in the opening of the basic support. The luminous foil is connected to the voltage transducer and is disposed between the basic support and the transparent intermediate part. Disposed between the luminous foil and the non-illuminable part, the transparent intermediate part has an elevation, which extends through the non-illuminable part from one side of the non-illuminable part to the other side and projects over to the other side. The portion of the elevation projecting over the non-illuminable part forms a symbol. The voltage transducer is fastened to one of the other elements of the illuminable component.

  • Publication number: 20040211192
Abstract: In a method for the disposal of the boil-off gas in a cryotank, an energy-converting unit is temporarily operated even in phases of non-use in order to burn the boil-off gas. Preferably the start-up and/or the duration of the operation of the energy-converting unit is controlled by an electronic monitor module according to the pressure level in the cryotank. A preferred case of operation is represented by a motor vehicle with a cryotank for supplying a vehicle driving unit or a fuel cell for the generation of electrical energy, wherein the drive unit or the fuel cell of the shut-down, unused motor vehicle is automatically started up temporarily automatically in order to burn boil-off gas.
