Abstract: A coolant jacket is provided for a liquid-cooled cylinder head for an internal combustion engine having a crankcase. The cylinder head has a gas exchange intake side having two gas exchange intake valves and a gas exchange exhaust side having two gas exchange exhaust valves. A fuel injection valve is provided on the intake side and an ignition device is provided on the exhaust side between the gas exchange valves. The coolant jacket extends as a first partial coolant jacket on the exhaust side, coming from the crankcase, between the gas exchange exhaust valves and then radially outside around the ignition device and the fuel injection valve and further in the direction of the intake side and the crankcase. Optimal cooling of the ignition device and the fuel injection valve is achieved which enables high specific powers and pressures leading to fuel consumption and cost advantages.

Abstract: A navigation system has an interface for accessing a memory unit, in which an electronic road map is stored with a large number of road sections, each of which has at least one first cost element assigned thereto, and has a computer unit, which is designed such that at least one second cost element is assigned or will be assigned to at least some of the road sections. In order to compute a route, a cost value is assigned or will be assigned to each of the road sections, wherein the computation of the cost value for the first road sections is based in each case on the first and the second cost element and for the second road sections is based in each case on the first and not on the second cost elements.

Abstract: A component connection includes a first vehicle component which has a male fixing element projecting from the first vehicle component, and a second vehicle component, which has a female fixing element that is intended for receiving the male fixing element. The male fixing element is inserted into the female fixing element in an insertion direction. The male fixing element has a functional head, which has partially or completely the shape of a sphere or partially or completely a shape similar to a sphere, and the male fixing element has a foot region, which is connected to the second component in a positive locking manner. The functional head has an excessive dimension in relation to the female fixing element in essence transversely to the insertion direction, so that the two vehicle components can be clamped together in a detachable manner at the fixing elements.

Abstract: A hybrid transmission is operative to transfer power between an input member and a torque machine and an output member. A method for controlling the powertrain system during a braking event includes evaluating candidate input torques. An output torque reactable through the transmission to the driveline and limited within the range of permissible output torques is determined for the candidate engine input torque. A preferred input torque is determined.

Abstract: A communication system is provided with a plurality of FlexRay network nodes (FRK) by which respective data packets are provided in an IP data packet format or an Ethernet data packet format, and a FlexRay bus system (FRB), by whose physical layer, data are transmitted between the FlexRay network nodes (FRK). The IP data packet format or the Ethernet data packet format each has a plurality of bit positions. The FlexRay network nodes (FRK) each include a media access layer (MAC) which is set up such that the data packets provided in an IP data packet format or Ethernet data packet format are converted into a preset media-independent data format (MII), and an adaptation layer (ANP) which is set up such that the data provided in the media-independent data format (MII) are converted onto corresponding signals of the physical layer of the FlexRay bus system (FRB).

Abstract: The invention relates to an emergency brake assistant for automatically decelerating a vehicle to prevent a collision or reduce the consequences of a collision with a detected collision object, at a determined intervention point in time, a brake system of the vehicle being automatically activated such that a collision with the detected collision object can be prevented or at least the consequences of the collision can be reduced. The invention is characterized in that the intervention point in time can be determined as a function of the end point in time of a determined driver reaction time and of the determined last-possible braking point in time.

Abstract: A circuit arrangement is provided for supplying an electric drive, to which at least two electric energy sources can be connected. At least one of the at least two electric energy sources supplies at least intermittently the electric drive by way of at least one actuating element. At least one electric energy source can be disconnected from the electric drive by way of a switch. Furthermore, a method for operating the circuit arrangement, as well as a motor vehicle including the circuit arrangement, are provided.
