Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for conducting media lift studies for online advertising concurrently with operating an advertising campaign. While operating an advertising campaign for a first advertiser/client focused primarily on a set of intended ads and a specific targeted viewer audience, a non-intended ad is occasionally substituted to run in an ad slot, and is tracked as belonging to the first advertiser/client. The non-intended ad can be for example one of: an ad for a second advertiser/client; an alternate ad for the first advertiser/client; or a blank/unrelated ad. After the campaign, attribution results for the intended ads are adjusted according to those for non-intended ads to provide an indication of net media lift resulting from the intended ads—typically at no additional cost to the first advertiser/client. Analysis results may also be compared between different attribution data providers to determine which provide the more accurate attribution data.

Abstract: A propeller-powered propulsion system and method of remote-controlled waterway navigation is configured to navigate a waterway in a navigation route while being controlled remotely, and being tracked by a GPS system. The watercraft provides a watercraft body that carries a propeller subassembly having multiple propellers that operate independently of each other for variable propulsion and steering. A mobile communication device transmits a command signal to a receiver in the propeller subassembly. A microcontroller converts the command signal to a speed for each propeller, independently of the other. The propeller speeds create a disproportionate level of thrust from each propeller to enable remote controlled steering of the watercraft toward port and starboard directions, at variable speeds, and preprogrammed navigation routes. The mobile communication device also acquires location data of the watercraft body obtained by a GPS system.
Abstract: Techniques for allowing a vehicle to detect and avoid obstacles comprises at least one radar and a navigation system including a three-dimensional map database. The at least one radar generates radar return image(s) which can be compared by the navigation system to the three-dimensional map to determine a three-dimensional position of the vehicle. Based upon position determination, the navigation system can guide the vehicle to a destination whilst avoiding obstacles. If the vehicle also includes a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, such techniques are desirable when the GNSS receiver is unable to provide accurate position data, which can occur in urban environments where obstacles are numerous.
Abstract: The disclosed merchant server initiates a verification process in response to receiving an account identifier for an account in response to a payment selection by an account holder. In response to confirming enrollment of the account in a verification service, the merchant server receives an access point (e.g., a uniform resource locator (URL), API, etc.) and presents an offer interface corresponding to the access point. The offer interface includes a value added offer based on a profile of the account. The merchant server receives a credential and an acceptance indicator in response to the account holder accepting the value added offer. The merchant server may send an authorization request to a transaction authorization system.

Abstract: A nozzle is provided for a header conduit. The nozzle includes an inlet that is resistant to clogs caused by flat materials covering the inlet. The inlet generally includes multiple pathways to an elongated passageway through which waste liquid and sludge (“waste”) are guided and enter the header conduit. In one embodiment, the elongated passageway is oriented to guide the waste along a path that is tangential to at least the inner surface of the header conduit which such incoming waste first contacts. When the conduit has an inner surface of circular cross-section, the passageway may optionally be elongated enough that the incoming waste enters the header conduit along a path tangential to the circular surface. To better assure axial flow of the waste in the conduit to an outlet, in one embodiment the passageway provides both the tangential flow and is at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the conduit. The incoming waste is thereby provided with an axial component.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to systems and methods for determining predicted risk for a flight path of an unmanned aerial vehicle. A previously stored three-dimensional representation of a user-selected location may be obtained. The three-dimensional representation may be derived from depth maps of the user-selected location generated during previous unmanned aerial vehicle flights. The three-dimensional representation may reflect a presence of objects and object existence accuracies for the individual objects. The object existence accuracies for the individual objects may provide information about accuracy of existence of the individual objects within the user-selected location. A user-created flight path may be obtained for a future unmanned aerial flight within the three-dimensional representation of the user-selected location. Predicted risk may be determined for individual portions of the user-created flight path based upon the three-dimensional representation of the user-selected location.

One of the methods includes receiving, by a reactive programming system comprising one or more computers, a reactive programming program defining an ordering of a plurality of operators, the plurality of operators including a subscriber context operator that writes a value to a subscription context for a particular subscriber, wherein the ordering defines an upstream subscription flow ordering from the particular subscriber to a publisher and a downstream data flow ordering from the publisher to the particular subscriber. The operators are evaluated in the upstream subscription flow ordering, including updating a subscription context of each operator with the value written by the subscriber context operator.
