Patent number: 10878671Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for using alternating current (AC) power waveforms to communicate between devices in a doorbell circuit. A signaling device that emits sound may be positioned in the doorbell circuit between an AC power source and a doorbell device (such as an A/V device including a doorbell). A signaling device may be coupled in parallel to a signaling-control device that includes electronic circuitry that provides a selective bypass to allow for larger amounts of current drawn by the A/V device to bypass the signaling device without causing the signaling device to emit the sound. The A/V device and the signaling-control device may use AC power waveforms to communicate data and/or data between each other. For example, the A/V device and the signaling-control device may control respective signal relays to selectively open and close the doorbell circuit in order to communicate with each other using the AC current waveform.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2018Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventor: James Steven Skeoch

Patent number: 10875291Abstract: A method of screen printing positionally synchronizes a plurality of pallet assemblies on a first screen printing machine with a plurality of pallet assemblies on a second screen printing machine. A screen printed garment having a properly aligned first image received from the first screen printing machine is transferred on a portion of one of the pallet assemblies on the first screen printing machine to one of the plurality of pallet assemblies on the second printing machine. The properly aligned first image on the garment is in proper positional alignment with a screen printing head on the second screen printing machine such that a second image complimentary to the first image is printed on the garment in proper position on the garment relative to the first image without user intervention to positionally locate the first image relative to the screen printing head on the second machine.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2018Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: M&R Printing Equipment, Inc.Inventor: Richard C. Patent number: 10880691Abstract: A determination is made that a mobile device is associated with a reference activity of a user based on motion, orientation, rotational, magnetic field, and/or location data provided by sensors of the device. Activity data associated with the reference activity is obtained from the sensor-provided data. The activity data is recorded on the device for a configured period of time after which it is determined that the device is no longer performing the reference activity. The retained activity data for the reference activity is sent from the device to a network-based behavior analyzer when a network connection is available from the device. The network-based behavior analyzer derives user behaviors for the reference activity based on the activity data.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2019Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: Root, Inc.Inventors: James Wilbert Devine, Daniel Craig Manges
