  • Patent number: 10874829
Abstract: A stiffening assembly comprises a bulkhead including an inner surface defining a central lumen. The bulkhead further includes an outer surface surrounding the inner surface and includes a wall connecting the outer surface to the inner surface. The wall is shaped to form a plurality of holes spaced apart and surrounding the central lumen. The stiffening assembly further comprises a plurality of longitudinal beams. Each beam extends through a corresponding hole of the plurality of holes. The stiffening assembly further comprises a clamping assembly configured to contact the plurality of beams. The stiffening assembly is adjustable between a flexible state in which each beam is movable within the corresponding hole and a stiffened state in which the clamping assembly clamps the plurality of beams against the bulkhead such that a transfer of forces in a radial direction between the plurality of beams and the bulkhead stiffens the stiffening assembly.

  • Patent number: 10875342
Abstract: Various of the disclosed embodiments concern printing systems configured to deposit flexible dye sublimation inks onto flexible transfer materials. Together, the flexible ink and transfer material allow images to be transferred onto complex-shaped, i.e. non-planar, surfaces of a substrate. The flexible ink may be, for example, a thermoformable UV dye sublimation ink or a superflexible UV dye sublimation ink. In order to transfer an image onto the substrate, the transfer material is pressed onto the surface of the substrate. The substrate, transfer material, or both are heated to a temperature sufficient to cause the ink to sublimate. During the sublimation process, dye is able to permeate the substrate and form a transferred image. The flexible ink formulation may also include a soluble or solvent-sensitive component. In such embodiments, a solvent can be jetted onto the substrate and/or transfer material to remove residual ink.

  • Patent number: 10875387
Abstract: A replacement vent clip for attachment to a louver of an air vent assembly when the air vent assembly is installed in a motor vehicle includes two posts extending rearward from a lower wall of the vent clip and a lower and upper wall spaced apart from one another to create an open back end spanning an entire width of the vent clip. The open back end includes a channel sized smaller in height than a height of an opposing horizontal louver of an air vent assembly and includes a lip arranged to move to a second greater height when engaging the horizontal louver. The two longitudinally extending, spaced apart posts align the vent clip with a vertical post of an air vent assembly. Once the louver is contained within the vent clip, the channel moves back to its original height and captures the louver within the clip.

  • Patent number: 10876084
Abstract: A method and device for producing high quality alcohol beverages, including liquor, cordial, tincture, whiskey, cognac, brandy, vodka, rum, gin, wine, cocktail, etc., is based on the action of hydrodynamic cavitation treatment of components of alcohol beverages. The fluid flow moves at a high rate through a multi-stage blending hydrodynamic device and multi-stage cavitation device to generate hydrodynamic cavitation features in the fluid flow. The cavitation features generate changes in the velocity, pressure, temperature, chemical composition and physical properties of the liquid. Hydrodynamic cavitation processing provides effective blending of components and homogenization of alcoholic beverage, improves its organoleptic qualities.

  • Patent number: 10876840
Abstract: A passive ring interferometer sensor includes an electromagnetic ring path configured to receive a pair of electromagnetic waves from an electromagnetic radiation source and to direct the waves to be counter-propagating within the ring path toward respective ends of the path. A combination junction receives the waves from the respective ends and combines the waves to be co-propagating within a coupling path. Polarization elements are configured to set the waves to be mutually co-polarized within the electromagnetic ring path and to be mutually cross-polarized within the coupling path. A detector is configured to receive the mutually cross-polarized waves from the coupling path and to detect second-order coherence. Embodiments can sense rotation rate as fiber-optic gyroscopes or serve as other types of sensors such as gravitational wave sensors. Embodiments may have greatly increased unambiguous range and decreased sensitivity to any centroid wavelength shift.

  • Patent number: 10876803
Abstract: Systems according to the present disclosure provide one or more surfaces that function as heat or power radiating surfaces for which at least a portion of the radiating surface includes or is composed of “fractal cells” placed sufficiently closed close together to one another so that a surface (plasmonic) wave causes near replication of current present in one fractal cell in an adjacent fractal cell. A fractal of such a fractal cell can be of any suitable fractal shape and may have two or more iterations. The fractal cells may lie on a flat or curved sheet or layer and be composed in layers for wide bandwidth or multibandwidth transmission. The area of a surface and its number of fractals determines the gain relative to a single fractal cell. The boundary edges of the surface may be terminated resistively so as to not degrade the cell performance at the edges.
