Abstract: A battery state detecting device (100) includes a shunt resistor (5), a post connection terminal (1), a harness connection terminal (2), a circuit board (6), and a connector (3). The post connection terminal (1) is electrically connected to a battery post (91) of a battery (90). The harness connection terminal (2) is electrically connected to a harness (80). The circuit board (6) detects current flowing in the shunt resistor (5). The connector (3) outputs a result of the detection made by the circuit board (6). The post connection terminal (1) is arranged next to the circuit board (6) in a thickness direction of the circuit board (6). On one side of the circuit board (6) in the thickness direction thereof, at least part of a post connecting portion (11), which is a part of the post connection terminal (1) connected to the battery post (91), is arranged within a space between the harness connection terminal (2) and the connector (3).

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of determining relative velocity between a vehicle and an object. The method includes receiving sensor data generated by one or more sensors of the vehicle. The one or more sensors are configured to sense an environment through which the vehicle is moving by following a scan pattern comprising component scan lines. The method also includes obtaining, based on the sensor data and by one or more processors, two or more point cloud frames representative of the environment and tracking, by the one or more processors, a point cloud object across the two or more point cloud frames. Additionally, the method includes determining, based on the tracking and by the one or more processors, a relative velocity of the point cloud object and correcting, by the one or more processors, the point cloud object based on the relative velocity of the point cloud object.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to form biocompatible energization elements are described. In some embodiments, the methods and apparatus to form the biocompatible energization elements involve forming cavities comprising active cathode chemistry. The active elements of the cathode and anode are sealed with a laminate stack of biocompatible material. In some embodiments, a field of use for the methods and apparatus may include any biocompatible device or product that requires energization elements.

Abstract: A system for identifying, tagging, and displaying one or more assets within an audio visual (AV) file includes an asset tagging server, an asset tag acquisition device, and a database, wherein the asset tag acquisition device includes an asset identification engine configured to receive an asset identification data set and generate an asset tag data file that includes an asset tag corresponding to each asset. The asset tagging server is configured to receive, from an AV capture device, an AV file that includes an AV representation of each asset and corresponding timestamp data, and store, in the database, an AV asset tag data file comprising the beginning timestamp, the ending time stamp, and the set of asset tags.

Abstract: A method for measuring performance of virtual desktop services offered by a server including a processor is described. A first encoded watermark is embedded into user interface display generated by a virtual desktop when initiating an operation. The first encoded watermark includes pixels identifying the operation and indicating its initiation. A second encoded watermark is embedded into the user interface upon completion of the operation indicating completion of the operation. An action performance time is then computed and stored in a memory. Multiple performance times may be compiled from multiple operations of multiple virtual desktops to assess the performance of the system as a whole.

Abstract: Various techniques are described for platform management of integrated access of public and privately-accessible datasets utilizing federated query generation and query schema rewriting optimization, including receiving at a dataset access platform a query formatted according to a first data schema, generating a copy of the query, saving the query and the copy to a datastore, parsing the copy of the query in the first schema using an inference engine, determining whether the query comprises data associated with an access control condition associated with accessing the dataset, the access control condition being configured to indicate whether the query is permitted to access the dataset, and rewriting, using a proxy server, the copy of the query in a second schema by converting the copy of the query into a triple associated with the query and another triple associated with the access control condition.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for coordinating an inter-operable Platform as a Service (PaaS) layer and an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) layer. In one example, the method includes receiving, by a processing device associated with a PaaS layer, a message indicating a resource status associated with a plurality of resources of an IaaS layer, determining, by the processing device, a resource among the plurality of resources in the IaaS layer to instantiate a platform service of the PaaS layer, the determining is based on the message indicating the resource status associated with the plurality of resources of the IaaS layer; and transmitting, by the processing device, a message directing the IaaS layer to instantiate the platform service on the determined resource in the IaaS layer.

Abstract: An authenticated session with a remote system is established and identified through an authentication token for the session. During that session, a resource is accessed requiring additional authentication beyond what the authentication token was originally authorized for. Out-of-band processing from the existing session performs the additional authentication and permission from the authentication token are upgraded to include permissions for accessing the resource during the session. The resource is accessed during the session with the authentication token having the upgraded permissions.

Abstract: Techniques for implementing deadlock avoidance in a leaf-spine network are described. In one embodiment, a method includes monitoring traffic of a plurality of packets at a leaf switch in a network having a leaf-spine topology. The method includes marking a packet with an identifier associated with an inbound uplink port of the leaf switch when the packet is received from one of a first spine switch and a second spine switch. The method includes detecting a valley routing condition upon determining that the packet marked with the identifier is being routed to an outbound uplink port of the leaf switch to be transmitted to the first spine switch or the second spine switch. Upon detecting the valley routing condition, the method includes dropping packets associated with a no-drop class of service when a packet buffer of the inbound uplink port reaches a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A central asset registry ties Digital Asset Management (DAM) repositories into a unified system. The central asset registry removes the tracking of asset relationships from the DAMs by gathering asset metadata tags and capturing relationships between assets to provide improved speed, scalability, and flexibility in analyzing and traversing networks of relationships of digital assets. The central asset registry allows the use of a pluggable architecture and tracks and stores multi-dimensional relationships as an asset hierarchy. The asset hierarchy provides a depiction of relationship data between the assets and provides a flexible array of asset types and properties that allows the addition of new assets and new asset types without re-factoring the other data, nodes, and edges. The system also uses asset metadata to create edge relationships between the assets. The central asset registry facilitates queries and retrieval of the media assets.

Abstract: Systems and methods for alerting a third party device according to a result of automated evaluation of a received response packet according to at least one pattern in the data packet are disclosed herein. The system can include a memory having a pattern database and a model database. The system can further include a user device and a content management server. The content management server can receive a response packet and identify one or several patterns within the response packet. Based on the presence or absence of these one or several patterns in the response packet, the content management server can generate an evaluation of the response packet and generate and send an alert with the results of the evaluation.

Abstract: At a network device configured to control access to a network, a client device authentication request is received from a client device. The request includes identity credentials and a temporary media access control (MAC) address of the client device. The client device is successfully authenticated based on the identity credentials. After authentication, a new MAC address is established in the client device. A data frame is received from at the network device. It is determined whether the client device is using the new MAC address based on the received data frame. If it is determined that the client device is using the new MAC address, the client device is permitted access the network.

Abstract: Connector enclosure assemblies for medical devices provide an angled lead passageway. The lead passageway which is defined by electrical connectors and intervening seals within the connector enclosure assembly establishes the angle relative to a base plane of the connector enclosure assembly. Various other aspects may be included in conjunction with the angled lead passageway, including an angled housing of the connector enclosure assembly, feedthrough pins that extend to the electrical connectors where the feedthrough pins may include angled sections, and a set screw passageway set at an angle relative to the lead passageway to provide fixation of a lead within the lead passageway.

The system may comprise a conduit; an ultrasound transmitter positioned to direct ultrasound pulses into the conduit; an ultrasound receiver positioned to receive sound waves from the conduit; a pump fluidically coupled to the conduit; and a heat exchanger fluidically coupled to the conduit. The method may comprise drawing a sample of a treatment fluid into the rheology measurement system; pressuring the sample of the treatment fluid; adjusting temperature of the treatment fluid; directing ultrasound pulses into the treatment fluid while the treatment fluid is flowing through the rheology measurement system; measuring sound waves reflected by the treatment fluid; and determining a velocity profile of the treatment fluid based at least on the measured sound waves.

Abstract: A wearable ophthalmic device is disclosed. The device may include an outward facing head-mounted light field camera to receive light from a user's surroundings and to generate numerical light field image data. The device may also include a light field processor to access the numerical light field image data, to obtain an optical prescription for an eye of the user, and to computationally introduce an amount of positive or negative optical power to the numerical light field image data based on the optical prescription to generate modified numerical light field image data. The device may also include a head-mounted light field display to generate a physical light field corresponding to the modified numerical light field image data.

Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing policy in a control plane are provided. The method includes associating, by a network management system (NMS), a first identifier (ID) with a first policy of a network, wherein the first ID uniquely identifies the first policy. The method also includes pushing, by the NMS, the first policy to the control plane including a plurality of controllers. Further, the method includes exchanging, by the NMS, the first ID with the plurality of controllers. Moreover, the method includes determining, by the NMS, at least one controller from which confirmation of the first ID is not received as a stale controller.

Abstract: A gateway device is configured to operate as a network function in a service function chain and is connected to a plurality of network connected devices. The gateway device receives a service function chain packet that includes a request to obtain data from one or more of the plurality of network connected devices. The gateway device obtains the data from the one or more network connected devices and modifies the service function chain packet to include the data obtained from the one or more network connected devices. The gateway device sends the service function chain packet that has been modified to include that data obtained from the one or more network connected devices along the service function chain.

Abstract: A circuit board assembly in an electronic is disclosed. To conserve space in the electronic device, the circuit board assembly includes stacked circuit boards in electrical communication with each other, such as a first circuit board stacked over a second circuit board. Each circuit board may include multiple surfaces that carry operational components. Moreover, the first circuit board may include a first surface and the second circuit board may include a second surface facing the first surface. The first and second surfaces may include operational components in corresponding locations. Also, the operational components may include corresponding shapes such that one component is positioned in another component. The components may electrically connect to each other. Also, the circuit board assembly may include EMI shields around an outer perimeter in order to shield the operational components form EMI and to components in the electronic device from EMI emanating from the operational components.
