Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for headbands and headband cushions are disclosed. In one example, an air bladder headband cushion includes a base layer arranged to be attached to a headband, and an inflatable and deflatable air bladder cushion disposed along a length of a surface of the base layer. The inflatable and deflatable air bladder cushion includes a plurality of individualized cushions configured so that when the inflatable and deflatable air bladder cushion is in an inflated state at least one individualized cushion has a first maximum height with respect to the inner surface of the headband different from a second maximum height of a second individualized cushion, and at least one individualized cushion has a contoured surface having a varying height with respect to the inner surface of the headband.

Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include may include (1) an active power supply blank that (A) fits within a power supply slot of a network device that forwards network traffic and (B) generates airflow that cools the network device and (2) a power interface that electrically couples the active power supply blank to the network device, wherein the power interface enables the active power supply blank to (A) draw electrical power from the network device and (B) generate the airflow that cools the network device using the electrical power drawn from the network device. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: Provided is a method of treating cardiac arrhythmia in a patient. The method comprises selecting a patient suffering from a cardiac arrhythmia and creating a flow pathway between a first vascular location and a second vascular location. The first vascular location comprises a source of arterial blood and the second vascular location comprises a source of venous blood. Systems and devices for creating a flow pathway are also provided.

Abstract: A method of constraining operation of a robot includes receiving, using network interface hardware of a robot, one or more robotic control instructions from a user, where the robotic control instructions instruct the robot to perform a robotic movement, determining whether the user providing the one or more robotic control instructions to the robot is a primary user or a secondary user, and comparing the robotic movement instructed by the one or more robotic control instructions with one or more robotic operation constraints. The method further includes determining whether the robotic movement instructed by the one or more robotic control instructions conflicts with the one or more robotic operation constraints and constraining operation of the robot when the user is the secondary user and the robotic movement instructed by the one or more robotic control instructions conflicts with the one or more robotic operation constraints.

Abstract: Computer systems and methods to protect user credential against phishing with security measures applied based on determination of phishing risks of locations being visited, phishing susceptibility of users, roles of users, verification of senders of messages, and/or the timing of stages in accessing and interacting with the locations. For example, when a site is unclassified at the onset of being accessed by a user device, security measures can be selectively applied to allow the site to be initially viewed on the user device, but disallow some user interactions to reduce phishing risk. For example, a response to a domain name system (DNS) request can be customized based on a user risk level. For example, a message can be displayed without a profile picture of a contact of a user when the sender of the message appears to be the contact but cannot be verified to be the contact.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a wafer-level packaging process. According to an exemplary process, a precursor wafer that includes a device layer with a number of input/output (I/O) contacts, a number of bump structures over the device layer, the stop layer underneath the device layer, and a silicon handle layer underneath the stop layer is provided. Herein, each bump structure is electronically coupled to a corresponding I/O contact. A first mold compound is then applied over the device layer to encapsulate each bump structure. Next, the silicon handle layer is removed substantially. A second mold compound is applied to an exposed surface from which the silicon handle layer was removed. Finally, the first mold compound is thinned down to expose a portion of each bump structure.

Abstract: A social messaging hub provides communication services for a data enabled device having Internet network access capabilities such as a portable media player, personal digital assistant, a Wi-Fi mobile platform, a tablet computer, portable e-Reader, a personal computer, a laptop and a netbook computer. The social messaging hub communicates with the data enabled device over the Internet or cellular data networks, and interfaces with a message infrastructure including mobile carriers, message aggregators, message exchanges and various specialized social messaging services. Messages may originate in or be delivered to other users' mobile telephones or in similarly equipped and provisioned IP data enabled devices. The social messaging hub can provide a predetermined auto-reply response and retain messages for a timed duration in a message retention queue when requested by a user. Messages may be viewed with a data enabled device application at various zoom levels.

Abstract: A vascular closure device includes a release component, a delivery component, a sealing device and at least one actuator. The release component is elongate along a longitudinal direction, and defines a distal end and a proximal end. The delivery component extends along the release component such that at least the release component is movable relative to the delivery component. The delivery component includes a delivery tube body and defines a delivery tube channel. The sealing device has a toggle that is at least partially disposed within the release tube, a suture that is attached to the toggle and extends through the delivery tube channel, and a plug that is attached to the suture proximal to the toggle.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder includes a mounting arrangement configured to either be received by a mounting apparatus or to mount to a surface. A rod retainer is coupled to the mounting arrangement. The rod retainer includes at least one retaining wall having an outer surface and defining an inner cavity configured to receive and hold a portion of a fishing rod. A top mount receptacle is configured to receive a device mount. The top mount receptacle includes a base disposed on the outer surface of the rod retainer. The base includes a mounting surface configured for receiving a portion of the device mount.

Abstract: A surgical instrument is inserted through a guide tube. The surgical instrument exits at an intermediate position of the guide tube and is oriented to be substantially parallel to the guide tube's longitudinal axis as it exits. A stereoscopic image capture component is on the guide tube between the intermediate position and the guide tube's distal end. The image capture component's field of view is generally perpendicular to the guide tube's longitudinal axis. The guide tube is jointed to allow the image capture component to be moved. The surgical instruments and the guide tube are telemanipulatively controlled.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for shared folder backed integrated workspaces. In some implementations, a content management system can provide a graphical user interface (GUI) that integrates communications and content management into a single user interface. The user interface can include mechanisms that allow a user to provide input to generate a new workspace. The user interface can provide a mechanism to allow a user to view conversations related to the workspace and/or content items associated with the workspace. The user interface can present representations of content items associated with the workspace and allow the user to provide input to generate, view, edit, and share content items associated with the workspace.

Abstract: Techniques for generating an assessment question about content of an educational course include obtaining, by processing circuitry of a computer, an electronic document of content of the course and generating a parsable text version of the electronic document. Importance scores for sentences of the parsable text version of the electronic document are generated and a sentence having an importance score that exceeds a first threshold value is identified. A key phrase in the identified sentence is identified, where the identified key phrase has a key phrase score that exceeds a second threshold value, and an assessment question about the content of the course related to the identified sentence is generated, where the assessment question is based on the identified sentence but where the identified key phrase is not present in the assessment question.

Abstract: A magnetic latching connector for making electrical connections between cables, electrical power and signal sources, equipment and the like in a variety of medical and other applications in which it is desired to have the connection maintained with a predetermined amount of magnetic attractive force. The magnetic latching connector generally includes male and female connector components. The male and female connector components comprise male and female couplings and male and female coupling housings. The male and female coupling housings enclose electrical connections between the male and female couplings and electrical cables. Recessed within the male and female couplings are electrically conductive pins and sockets and male and female magnetic latching elements. When the male and female connector components are coupled, the pins and sockets provide electrical connections and the recessed magnetic latching elements provide a predetermined magnetic attraction force to maintain the connections.

Abstract: This application sets forth a key rolling technique for a file system of a computing device. The key rolling technique allows for files to be transparently re-encrypted in a background process while still allowing applications to access the files being re-encrypted. During re-encryption, at least one file extent of a file is decrypted using a current key for the file extent and re-encrypted using a new key for the file extent. Moreover, the file extent can be relocated to another location in memory during re-encryption to enhance accessibility and crash protection features. Metadata associated with the file can be updated to include information pertaining to both the location of the re-encrypted file extent as well as the new key that can be used to decrypt the re-encrypted file extent. In this manner, the metadata can be used to properly construct a complete file when the file needs to be accessed.

Abstract: A swaging system for attaching surgical needles to sutures and testing the attachment strength includes a frame, a bottom swaging die mounted on the frame, and a top swaging die mounted on the frame and being moveable up and down along a swaging axis that is aligned with the bottom swaging die. The bottom swaging die includes a hinge mechanism with a bottom plate mounted to the frame and a top plate overlying the bottom plate. The top and bottom plates are pivotally connected for enabling the top plate to pivot relative to the bottom plate. The bottom swaging die includes a swaging tool that extends toward the top swaging die along the swaging axis, and a load cell disposed between the top and bottom plates for monitoring load. The system includes a control system having one or more pull test programs stored therein for evaluating pull tests on armed surgical needles to determine if the armed surgical needles are acceptable or unacceptable.

Abstract: Systems and methods for fabricating an air purification device for use typically with heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system are presented. The systems include at least one pleated insert disposed within a cartridge housing and proximate a source of electromagnetic radiation. The pleated insert includes a plurality of pleat strips aligned substantially parallel to a common pleat axis. Each pleat strip has a first edge and a second edge. Portions or surfaces proximate the first edge and the second edge of each pleat strip are bonded so as to form an alternating sequence of peaks and valleys. A photocatalytic material coats at least a portion of the pleated insert. Methods for fabricating the pleated insert from a slice member having an unexpanded honeycomb structure are also presented. Other systems and methods are presented.

Abstract: A method optimizes the visible area of a display device during a sporting event having a plurality of activities, where each activity ultimately has an outcome. To that end, the method receives a stream of electronic, machine readable real-time event information relating to the sporting event. When receiving the stream (i.e., at least part of the time when receiving the stream), the method displays, in real time on the display device, an event user interface having selection indicia configured to enable a user to predict the outcome of at least one of the plurality of activities of the event in real time. In response to user input via the event user interface, the method displays message indicia over at least a portion of the interface.

Abstract: A proxy server is implemented between a user computer and the Web. The user accesses an IAM service and selects a cloud service. The proxy server intercepts the login form from the user, stores the identifier and password, and replaces the identifier and password. The proxy server allows the form to continue to the IAM service which registers the cloud service. Later, the user accesses the IAM service and selects the cloud service. The IAM service returns a login form for the cloud service with the identifier and password and redirects the user's computer to the cloud service. The proxy server intercepts the form and replaces the identifier and password with the correct identifier and password. The proxy server then allows the form to continue to the cloud service. The user is then authenticated by the cloud service and receives a Web page from the cloud service indicating logged in.

Abstract: At a central controlling system, a composite map is constructed based on a previous dataset that includes (A) images of a target obtained by imaging devices at a first time, and (B) respective meta data associated with the images. Imaging devices collect image data during a second time after the first time. In accordance with the composite map, the imaging devices obtain images of the target and associate meta data with the images. The images and respective meta data are communicated to the central controlling system. The positions and orientations of the imaging devices when the respective images were obtained, and when the images were obtained, are used to index the images against the target, thereby aggregating multi-dimensional data for the target. Temporal information about a characteristic of the target over time is then extracted from the aggregated multi-dimensional data.
