Abstract: A fairlead assembly includes a frame structure having an opening therein. A pair of rollers are disposed on opposite sides of the opening. The frame structure includes a pair of opposed curved surfaces disposed between the end portions of the pair of rollers and defining a bordering surface of the opening. The frame can be cast as a unitary structure with the pair of rollers each rotatably supported by a support pin having opposite ends received in a first set of corresponding semi-cylindrical recesses in a surface of the cast frame. A clamp structure having a second set of corresponding semi-cylindrical recesses secure the support pins to the cast frame.

Abstract: Provided herein is a method, device and installation for devolatizing a solid feedstock, comprising carbon-based waste selected from the group consisting of hazardous material, biomass, animal manure, tires, municipal solid waste and refuse derived fuel. The method comprises treating the solid feedstock to a produce a particle size laying between about 1 cm3 and about 100 cm3. The solid feedstock is passed into a jacketed system which includes a solid feedstock injector, a retort, a side arm for injecting a heated gas, and a process auger. The solid feedstock is contacted with a heated gas, comprising hydrogen, inside the jacketed system at a temperature of about 500° C. to about 1000° C. for a time of about 60 seconds to about 120 seconds, whereby the solid feedstock is converted into a gas stream and a solid stream.

Abstract: A focal-plane shutter includes: a board including an opening; a shutter opening and closing the opening; a drive lever provided with a drive pin and swinging; a drive arm provided with an engagement hole engaged with the drive pin, swinging about a center same as a swing center of the drive lever, driving the shutter, and made of a synthetic resin; and a restriction portion defining a swinging range of the drive lever.

Abstract: The techniques described herein provide software testing that may concurrently process a user request using a live version of software and a shadow request, which is based on the user request, using a shadow version of software (e.g., trial or test version, etc.). The live version of software, unlike the shadow version, is user-facing and transmits data back to the users while the shadow request does not output to the users. An allocation module may vary allocation of the shadow requests to enable a ramp up of allocations (or possibly ramp down) of the shadow version of software. The allocation module may use allocation rules to dynamically initiate the shadow request based on various factors such as load balancing, user attributes, and/or other rules or logic. Thus, not all user requests may be issued as shadow requests.

Abstract: A file stored in a first portion of a computer memory of a computer is determined to be a malicious file. A duplicate of the file is stored in a quarantine area in the computer memory, the quarantine area being in a second portion of the computer memory that is different from the first portion of the computer memory. One or more protection processes are performed on the file. The determination that the file is a malicious file is determined to be a false positive and the file is restored, during a boot sequence, to a state prior to the one or more protection processes being performed on the file.

Abstract: An operating method of a memory system including first and second one half pages includes acquiring first and second partial data from main data; performing a first program operation to the first one half page of a selected page with the first partial data; and performing a second program operation to the second one half page of the selected page with the second partial data. The first and second partial data may be programmed in the same first column region in the first and second one half pages, respectively.

Abstract: One modified source-conversion unit and one method to reduce the Coulomb Effect in a multi-beam apparatus are proposed. In the modified source-conversion unit, the aberration-compensation function is carried out after the image-forming function has changed each beamlet to be on-axis locally, and therefore avoids undesired aberrations due to the beamlet tilting/shifting. A Coulomb-effect-reduction means with plural Coulomb-effect-reduction openings is placed close to the single electron source of the apparatus and therefore the electrons not in use can be cut off as early as possible.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for replicating data in a distributed database system. Data containing a replicated truncation point associated with a replicating system is received via a data path. It can then be determined that the truncation point represents the point at which all data in a transaction log has been replicated (e.g., successfully or safely) and the transaction log can then be truncated at the truncation point (i.e., the data up to the truncation point deflected). Data containing an additional replicated truncation point associated with an additional replicating system via an additional data path may be received. It can then be determined that the additional replicated truncation point represents the point at which all data in the transaction log has been replicated and the transaction log can be then truncated at the additional replicated truncation point.

Abstract: A circularly polarized isolated magnetic dipole (CP-IMD) antenna includes: a first isolated magnetic dipole (IMD) element; a second IMD element positioned adjacent to the first IMD element; a third IMD element positioned adjacent to the second IMD element and configured to oppose the first IMD element; a fourth IMD element disposed positioned adjacent to each of the first and third IMD elements and configured to oppose the second IMD element; and a feed network configured to supply signals to the first thru fourth IMD elements at a phase difference of ninety degrees in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.

Abstract: A welded blank assembly is formed by welding edge regions of separate sheet metal pieces together at a weld joint. One or more of the sheet metal pieces includes a coating material layer and a weld notch, where at least some of the coating material layer is removed from the edge region(s) prior to welding so that the weld joint is substantially free from constituents of the coating material layer. An additional material may be added to a weld pool during weld joint formation to influence the size, shape and/or composition of the resulting weld joint to help compensate for the presence of the weld notch.

Abstract: An adjustable pipe support system is formed by fixing to a support column a top and bottom support plate, each plate comprising a respective orifice aligned with the other. A tube comprising a lubricating material fitting is fixed at each end to a respective support plate and aligned with the orifices, thereby forming a lubricating material receiving housing. Inserted into each orifice is a threaded adjusting bushing comprising internal threads and a shoulder contact flange. The adjusting bushings are sized such that when the inserted shoulder shoulder contact flanges are stopped by the support plate a space remains between the two contact bushing ends. A threaded stud first end is threadingly received by the threaded adjusting bushings. A threaded stud second end comprises a support member. As each threaded adjusting bushing is tightened the shoulder shoulder contact flanges seal against the support plates to laterally stabilize the threaded stud and contain the lubricating material within the housing.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for generating a user-hair-color model. One embodiment takes the form of a process that includes obtaining video data depicting a head of a user. The process also includes determining a set of line segments of pixels of the video data, wherein each line segment in the determined set of line segments intersects an upper contour of the depicted head of the user. The process also includes grouping at least some of the pixels of at least one of the line segments in the determined set of line segments into three sets of pixels based at least in part on respective color data of the pixels. The three sets of pixels include a skin-pixel set, a hair-pixel set, and a background-pixel set. The process also includes updating a user hair-color model based at least in part on the skin-pixel set.

Abstract: Features are disclosed for automatically generating content requests and recording metrics and other information about execution of the requests. The requests can be background requests, executed by user computing devices during idle periods and without any user initiation. The background requests may be browser requests for content pages. Metrics and other information about execution of the requests may be recorded during execution of the background requests and reported to a performance analysis system. Instructions to execute background requests can be generated so as to develop a data set, such as a data set for analyzing request execution performance.

The stamping element includes a main radiator, a first holder, a second holder, a feeding element, and an extension branch. The main radiator is substantially disposed above the dielectric substrate. The first holder is coupled to a first end of the main radiator. The second holder is coupled to a second end of the main radiator. The feeding element is coupled to a signal source. The extension branch is substantially disposed below the dielectric substrate, and is coupled between the second holder and the feeding element.

Abstract: Provided is a mobile terminal including a main body, first and second cameras that are arranged on the front and rear sides of the main body, respectively, a sensing unit that senses the extent to which the main body moves when driving the first and second cameras, and a controller that when a panorama photographing mode is selected, drives the first and second cameras at the same time in such a manner that the first and second cameras capture their respective images depending on movement of the main body, and when the extent of the sensed movement of the main body falls out of a reference range, stops photographing and connects first images captured by the first camera and second images captured by the second camera to generate at least one panorama picture. The rotation of the main body within a reference range enables a panorama picture to be generated.

Abstract: The present invention relates to zcytor17lig polynucleotide, polypeptide and anti-zcytor17 antibody molecules. The zcytor17lig is a novel cytokine. The polypeptides may be used within methods for stimulating the immune system, and proliferation and/or development of hematopoietic cells in vitro and in vivo. The present invention also includes methods for producing the protein, uses therefor and antibodies thereto.
