Abstract: The present invention relates to antibodies that immunospecifically bind to FAS and certain FAS related proteins. The invention encompasses human and humanized forms of the antibodies and their use in treating cancers and other proliferative disorders. The invention also relates to FAS-derived peptides useful for preparing the antibodies. Methods and compositions for detecting, diagnosing, treating or ameliorating a disease or disorder, especially cancer and other proliferative disorders using the present antibodies also are disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards real time display of event records and extracted values based on at least one extraction rule, such as a regular expression. A user interface may be employed to enable a user to have an extraction rule automatically generate and/or to manually enter an extraction rule. The user may be enabled to manually edit a previously provided extraction rule, which may result in real time display of updated extracted values. The extraction rule may be utilized to extract values from each of a plurality of records, including event records of unstructured machine data. Statistics may be determined for each unique extracted value, and may be displayed to the user in real time. The user interface may also enable the user to select at least one unique extracted value to display those event records that include an extracted value that matches the selected value.

Abstract: There is provided a method of transmitting an uplink for reference sensitivity test for intra-band non-contiguous CA in LTE-A system. The method may comprise: if a carrier aggregation (CA) is configured, if the configured CA corresponds to an intra-band CA, and if the configured CA corresponds to non-contiguous CA, transmitting an uplink on a primary component carrier using allocated resource blocks (RBs). if a channel bandwidth by an aggregation of the primary component carrier and a secondary component carrier is at least one of 25 RBs, 50 RBs, 75 RBs and 100 RBs and if a gap between two sub-blocks corresponds to a predetermined range, the number of the allocated resource block (RB) in the primary component carrier may be limited to 10 to meet a requirement for a reference sensitivity on a downlink of the secondary component carrier.

Abstract: An optical transceiver including a multi-direction variable transmitter including multiple outputs with different subcarriers being directed to different ones of the outputs to go to different directions in a network, and a multi-direction variable receiver for receiving multiple inputs thereby enabling transmission direction in a network with the transceiver at subcarrier granularity and avoiding entire super-channel granularity and enabling unused subcarriers to be utilized for traffic in other directions or destinations and making switching granularity finer for flexibility in the network.

Abstract: A formalized set of interfaces (e.g., application programming interfaces (APIs)) is described, that uses a security scheme, such as asymmetric (or symmetric) cryptography, in order to enable secure migration of virtual machine instances between multiple host computing devices. The migration is performed by receiving a request to migrate a virtual machine where the request includes public keys for the source host computing and the destination host computing. The source and destination hosts use the public keys to establish an encrypted session and then use the encrypted session to migrate the virtual machine.

Abstract: A seal protection system for use with protecting a seal assembly between a motor housing and a final drive assembly. The seal protection system includes a seal protector assembly having a first band portion and a second band portion. The first band portion is removably attached to the second band portion. Further, a compressible element is provided as a continuous resilient layer along an outer edge section of the first and second band portions. The first band portion and the second band portion are structured and arranged in a manner to overlay the seal assembly in a first position. Moreover, the first band portion and the second band portion are structured and arranged to separate relative to the seal assembly in a second position. In addition, the compressible element is disposed between the first and second band portions and one of the motor housing or the final drive assembly.

Abstract: A frame assembly can be configured to couple one or more doors to a refrigeration case having an opening. The frame assembly can be mounted outside the opening of the refrigeration case, which can reduce the amount of energy needed for heating the frame assembly and doors to prevent condensation. Mounting the frame assembly outside the opening can also improve the uniformity of light used to illuminate goods displayed in the refrigeration case. Mounting the frame assembly outside the opening can also allow for the use of larger doors. In some embodiments, and adapter can be used to mount the frame assembly outside the opening. In some embodiments, refrigeration units having a frame assembly mounted in the opening can be retrofitted to include a frame assembly that is mounted outside the opening.

Abstract: A polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) pyrolyzate adsorbent is described, having utility for storing gases in an adsorbed state, and from which adsorbed gas may be desorbed to supply same for use. The PVDF pyrolyzate adsorbent can be of monolithic unitary form, or in a bead, powder, film, particulate or other finely divided form. The adsorbent is particularly suited for storage and supply of fluorine-containing gases, such as fluorine gas, nitrogen trifluoride, carbo-fluoride gases, and the like. The adsorbent may be utilized in a gas storage and dispensing system, in which the adsorbent is contained in a supply vessel, from which sorbate gas can be selectively dispensed.

Abstract: A hybrid fiber/copper connector assembly which permits repair of damaged fibers or copper conductors carried by a hybrid fiber/copper cable without requiring replacement of the entire connector assembly or the cable is disclosed. The hybrid fiber/copper connector assembly disclosed also allows individual hybrid fiber/copper connectors of the assembly to be converted from one gender to a different gender. The hybrid fiber/copper connectors of the assembly include removable keying members mountable to housings of the connectors. The removable keying members allow gender conversion and proper mating and orientation. The hybrid fiber/copper connector assembly also allows the individual connectors of the assembly to be converted from being hybrid fiber/copper connectors to being only fiber connectors or only copper connectors.

Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for using policy knowledge of or obtained by a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) for needs based forwarding of bearer session traffic to network nodes. One exemplary system includes a PCRF. The PCRF includes a policy engine for identifying, using policy knowledge or obtained by the PCRF, zero or more network nodes hosting applications needed for processing packets of a bearer session. The PCRF further includes an application routing configurator for providing instructions to configure at least one configurable network element to forward bearer session traffic to any of the network nodes determined to be needed for processing packets associated with the bearer session and to bypass any of the network nodes not determined to be needed for processing packets associated with the bearer session.

Abstract: A rotatable optical device housing and mounting platform is disclosed. The optical device housing includes a bezel, front housing and rear housing. The optical device housing can include a number of lighting devices, including light-emitting diodes (LEDs), high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps, halogen lights, incandescent lights, or imaging devices, such as cameras, while utilizing the same bezel, front housing and rear housing. The depicted device can include a vertical tilt, which is adjustable either manually or electronically. A slip ring system provides continuous 360 rotation ability, with controllable and adjustable speed settings. Alternatively, a stop can be used instead of the slip ring, wherein the stop serves as a point of reversal of the unit's rotation. The unit contains an optional home position, allowing a user to select a point in the horizontal rotation to which the unit will return at the touch of a button.

Displaying a ring chart includes displaying the ring chart with visual coding. The visual coding indicates a level of completeness of research done for individuals represented in the ring chart.

Abstract: In a method for re-entry from extraluminal space into the central lumen of a vessel, a guidewire is advanced into the extraluminal space of the vessel, and then a directional catheter is advanced over the guidewire through the extraluminal space. Thereafter, the guidewire is removed from the directional catheter, an ultrasound device is placed through the directional catheter, and the ultrasound device is advanced through the extraluminal space into the central lumen and then activated.

Abstract: Augmented reality is used to simulate the impact of medical conditions on body parts and other objects within images taken of the objects. The simulations enable a user to see how a medical condition can affect the user by dynamically simulating the impact of the medical condition on captured images of body parts associated with the user in real-time. A user can select different medical conditions that are associated with different body parts. These objects are then identified within images containing the body parts using image recognition algorithms and/or user input. Thereafter, the images are modified so as to render the body parts as though the body parts were being impacted by the medical condition. The modifications are made by blending image data of the captured image with condition image data available to the processing system.

Abstract: A method for bonding at low or room temperature includes steps of surface cleaning and activation by cleaning or etching. The method may also include removing by-products of interface polymerization to prevent a reverse polymerization reaction to allow room temperature chemical bonding of materials such as silicon, silicon nitride and SiO2. The surfaces to be bonded are polished to a high degree of smoothness and planarity. VSE may use reactive ion etching or wet etching to slightly etch the surfaces being bonded. The surface roughness and planarity are not degraded and may be enhanced by the VSE process. The etched surfaces may be rinsed in solutions such as ammonium hydroxide or ammonium fluoride to promote the formation of desired bonding species on the surfaces.

Abstract: A fastener-driving tool including a housing having an air connector, at least one of a power storage device and an electrical component associated with the housing and an electric motor assembly associated with the housing. The electric motor assembly includes a fan where air is supplied to the housing through the air connector and moves through the housing and contacts the fan to cause the fan to rotate, rotation of the fan causing the electric motor to generate electricity that is directed to the at least one power storage device and the electrical component.

Abstract: A tester on a device under test to test component circuitry of the device under test, the tester comprising: logic configured with firmware to implement test circuitry comprising: protocol generators that are configurable to generate protocols; pattern generators that are configurable to provide test patterns that are drivable according to one or more of the protocols; and a system controller to select, in response to a program input, a test pattern and a protocol with which to test the component circuitry.

Abstract: A drug distribution system and method utilizes a central pharmacy and database to track all prescriptions for a sensitive drug. Information is kept in the database regarding all physicians allowed to prescribe the sensitive drug, and all patients receiving the drug. Abuses are identified by monitoring data in the database for prescription patterns by physicians and prescriptions obtained by patients. Further verification is made that the physician is eligible to prescribe the drug by consulting a separate database, and optionally whether any actions are taken against the physician. Multiple controls beyond those for normal drugs are imposed on the distribution depending on the sensitivity of the drug.
