Abstract: A variety of methods and arrangements are described for selectively reducing intake manifold pressure in a skip fire engine control system. In some embodiments, a throttle is adjusted to generate a manifold vacuum, which is used for various applications, including but not limited to purging a fuel vapor canister, reducing pressure within a brake vacuum booster reservoir and/or venting gas from a crankcase interior. An engine firing fraction is increased to help maintain a desired torque level. Other techniques for reducing the intake manifold pressure are also described, such as applications involving a return to idle.

Abstract: An incrementally-sized dishware system and method for weight management gradually modifies food portion consumption behavior to provide healthier eating habits. The incrementally-sized dishware system and method includes a plurality of incrementally-sized plates having successively differentiated plate surface areas. Each of the incrementally-sized plate surface areas is successively different by an increment to modify food portion delivery to a user. When utilizing the incrementally-sized dishware system and method a user selects a starting plate surface area based on a combination of weight management factors, and over time successively shifts to plates having smaller/larger plate surface areas. Interval changes between the dishes of the incrementally-sized dishware system and method adjust the amount of food consumed and rate of weight loss over time.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided which perform a file level restore by utilizing existing operating system components (e.g., file system drivers) that are natively installed on the target computing device. These components can be used to mount and/or interpret a secondary copy of the file system. For instance, the system can instantiate an interface object (e.g., a device node such as a pseudo device, device file or special file) on the target client which includes file system metadata corresponding to the backed up version of the file system. The interface provides a mechanism for the operating system to mount the secondary copy and perform file level access on the secondary copy, e.g., to restore one or more selected files.
