Abstract: In connection with a device for the screwless mounting of at least one accessory in a cutout of a vehicle support structure, the device includes a base body with locking elements formed thereon that are to be locked to the cutout edges at least one locking element being separated from the base body, and movably attached to at least one further locking element connected with the base body, a blocking wedge that can be driven between the locking elements inserted in the cutout and a detent mechanism between the base body and the locking element which is not directly connected with the base body positioned such that the base body can be supported on the locking element opposite to the insertion direction when the device has been mounted.

Abstract: A motor vehicle sun visor having a generally flat sun visor body usually of foamed plastic material, having an approximately rectangular peripheral contour. In one corner region of the sun visor body, a mounting housing is disposed in the body. The housing has a bore which extends approximately parallel to the upper longitudinal edge of the sun visor body. An end region of the sun visor support and mounting shaft is received in that bore. A plug-in opening to that bore intersects it at approximately a right angle. A plug disposed in the visor body is positioned to plug into the plug-in opening. Electrical wires supported on the sun visor shaft have external contact elements. Electric contacts on the plug are contactable with the contact elements on the sun visor shaft. The plug has electrically contactable elements away from the shaft. A microswitch on the visor includes contact pins which contact the contactable elements on the plug.

Abstract: A device is provided for the screwless mounting of at least one accessory in a cutout of a vehicle support structure. The screwless mounting device includes a locking element, a base body, a connecting device and a fastening element which can be moved between an insertion position and a fastening position. In the insertion position, the locking element and the fastening element can be pushed through the recess of the accessory until the base body rests against the visible side of the accessory. In the fastening position, the fastening element can be brought to rest against the back of the accessory in order to fix the device in place in the accessory. The connecting device is provided between the fastening element and the base body for the selective fixation of the fastening element in the fastened position.

Abstract: A small bracket for sun visors of vehicles, having two arms extending around a sun visor shaft in a clamp-like manner, the sides of the arms facing each other constituting an undercut seating opening for the sun visor shaft and an insertion slit, which makes the repeated insertion of the latter into the bearing opening possible, wherein the first arm is embodied on a base body and the second arm on a complementary body connected with it via a film hinge, and that a spring is located between the base body and the complementary body, which together constitute the small bracket.

Abstract: A shaft (1) for vehicle sun visors which is predominantly plastic and includes a short shaft leg (2) as well as a long shaft leg (3). The short shaft leg (2) engages a pillow block attached to the vehicle body, and the long shaft leg (3) engages a bearing housing (13), which is supported by the sun body. The bearing housing carries a detent spring (14) which exerts a clamping force on a partial axial region of the long shaft leg (3). The long shaft leg (3) includes a plastic material with self-lubricating properties along an axial partial region which is in contact with the detent spring (14).

Abstract: In accordance with the teachings of the present invention, an installation device for a vehicle is disclosed which in particular is for the releasable mounting of a handheld mobile phone. The installation device is designed with a housing (2) which is opened toward the front and is to be arranged on a receiving shaft of a vehicle part (1), such as an instrument panel, console, or the like, with a carrying part (16) which can be pivoted into, and out of, the housing (2) via a substantially vertically aligned axis of rotation (5), with a bearing plate (7) which is arranged on the carrying part (16) and is intended for the mobile phone (12) when the carrying part (16) has been pivoted out of the housing (2), and with a substantially horizontally aligned pivot axis (11) between the carrying part (16) and a bearing plate (7).

The sun visor body has a first wall, forming an essentially flat broad side of the sun visor body, and a second wall, forming a broad side of the sun visor body. The second wall has a tub-shaped depression, wherein the depression receives a mirror and a bordering frame holding the mirror. The depression has a bottom and walls which peripherally surround the bordering frame and are formed during blow molding of the sun visor body around an outer bead of the bordering frame, while forming a groove which receives the outer bead in an interlocked manner.

Abstract: A locking device for a container lid is provided, in particular for the lid of a storage compartment in a motor vehicle, with a spring-loaded closing cam which is arranged in a projecting manner at the free end of the lid and which, when the lid is closed, engages releasably in a latching recess of a latching recess housing arranged on the storage compartment, with a transducer element which is likewise arranged on the storage compartment and can be triggered via a central locking system with a view to locking and unlocking, and with a reversing linkage, mounted at one end on the transducer element and at the other end on the latching recess housing, for actuating a closing hook which can be pivoted into a latching opening of the closing cam.

Abstract: A sun visor for vehicles, which has a sun visor body made of plastic and a main element and an end element. The end element may be oriented obliquely in relation to the main element. A casing, which encloses all of the sun visor body and is made from foil blanks or the like, is provided for the connection between the main element and the end element. In addition to a circumferential weld bead, a weld bead fixes the foil blanks in place with respect to each other and defines a predetermined bending place in the area located between the main element and the end element. For reinforcement and for improvement of the appearance of this sun visor, a cover device is provided, which surrounds the additional weld bead and the predetermined bending location in the shape of a ring, but does not hamper the intended bending of the end element.

The bracket includes a base body supporting at least two locking elements and at least one seating dome, which can be mounted by means of locking elements. The locking elements can be inserted from the visible side into cutouts in the support structure behind whose cutout edges they extend. The bracket has a cover on the visible side, on which blocking wedges for securing the locking elements are arranged. Each locking element has two legs that can be brought into engagement transversely in respect to the insertion direction at oppositely located cutout edges. One leg of each locking element is arranged separated from the base body and movable in relation to it in the engagement direction. The bracket has an interlocking coupling that can be engaged in the engagement direction between the movable leg and the base body.

The outside end of the tube being extendable into the cavity of a plastic material injection mold. That end of the tube defines a valve seat. A valve is seatable on the seat. A rod on the valve extends through the tube into the hollow enclosure of the housing. A spring in a cup shape support normally urges the rod to move the valve onto the valve seat. A solenoid plunger acting on the rod and activated by an electromagnet moves the rod against the spring to raise the valve off the valve seat.

Abstract: A receptacle, such as an ashtray, glove compartment or the like for vehicles, is described, comprised of a housing, a cover, which is hinged to the housing along a rim edge and extends over the housing with at least one curved guide arm, and a releasable detent device for maintaining the cover against the force of an opening spring in the closed position when the cover covers the housing. The detent device, which can be actuated by acting on the cover, has a heart-shaped control cam, which is arranged on the guide arm and embodied as a connecting link groove. A bolt, which is formed on a hinged lever on the housing side, acts against the cam and rests in a lockable manner therewith. In connection with this receptacle, it is provided in accordance with the invention that a blocking device, which reacts to extreme changes in velocity, is arranged on the housing. The blocking device prevents the hinged lever from relinquishing its position thereby maintaining the cover in the locked position.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a sun visor for vehicles, which has a sun visor body which has a recess open at the edge of the body, through which a bearing pin passes. The recess is bordered by a bottom wall extending approximately parallel with the bearing pin and two lateral walls adjoining the bottom wall to the left and right of the bottom wall. To prevent the creation of the danger of blinding light passing through the recess, the invention features a closure cap, which screens the recess area between the lateral walls, as well as the recess area between the bottom wall and the bearing pin. The closure cap is hingedly arranged to the bottom wall.

Abstract: A sun visor for motor vehicles, in particular for commercial vehicles, is described, which is mainly intended for placement in the area of the long side of the cab and has a sun visor body (1), which has two seating brackets (2), can be pivoted around an approximately horizontal pivot axis and is displaceably conducted via the seating brackets (2) along a guide rail (4) which is parallel with the pivot axis and has a C-shaped profile, open toward the visible side.

The process involves blending a thermoplastic resin with reinforcing fibers, plasticating the blend with the addition of heat inside a screw-type extruder and extruding a plasticated mass for moulding. The thermoplastic resin is fed to the screw-type extruder in powder form and in a blend with the reinforcing fibers.

Abstract: An air bag unit is provided to protect a vehicle passenger from impacting a member of the interior of a vehicle. The air bag unit includes one or more air bags attached as an integral unit to a clamping device for attachment to a portion of the interior vehicle frame. Since the air bag is intended to protect passengers from impact with an interior member of the vehicle frame, the air bag is adapted to the shape of such member. The clamping device includes an attachment part which slidably engages the interior of the vehicle frame. In addition, the air bag unit is inflated by a tube housed therein. The tube exerts a restraining action on the inflating gas and includes one or more breakage locations which are intended to rupture within the air bag at a predetermined pressure for inflation of the air bag.

An introduction slot is provided between an arm on the mounting member and the mounting member itself for the introduction of the outer support shaft. A locking element which can pivot about an axis spaced from the introduction slot between a locking position and an unlocking position. A locking projection closes the introduction slot in the locking position and releases the outer support shaft in the locking position.

Abstract: A built-in, movable, object support for installation in a console, or the like, including a housing having two opposite first side walls and an opening defined by and between the first side walls. An insert is installed through the opening in the housing. The insert has second opposite sides opposed to respective ones of the first side walls. The insert has a front closure wall which serves as a support for an object when the insert is out of the housing. Object holding and support elements are at and above the closure wall. Converging guide ribs on the housing first side walls and slide pieces on the insert second sides engage the ribs. The orientation of the ribs are such that the insert turns with reference to the housing as it moves in and out of the housing due to the guidance of the ribs. The closure wall of the insert is substantially horizontal for supporting an object with the insert out of the housing. Additional object holding elements are supported at the closure wall of the insert.
