The packaging apparatus includes a packaging material guiding device for providing a shaped packaging material web suitable for receiving small piece goods, a longitudinal joining device which is arranged downstream of the packaging material guiding device and a transverse joining device which is arranged downstream of the packaging material guiding device. The transverse joining device joins the shaped packaging material web together at predetermined intervals transversely to the direction of travel to form a transverse joining area. The transverse joining device includes two joiners, which have a plurality of embossers that are individually movable transversely to the direction of travel and have an embosser stop area which cooperate such that elevations that are palpable are formed by the embossers in the transverse joining area.

The controller includes a delivery table that extends in a first direction, two elongated clamping jaws disposed above the delivery table, the jaws having clamping surfaces that face one another, and a clamping jaw guide apparatus with a frame structure, at least one first and one second guide which are separated from one another in the first direction and extend in a second direction, and at least four clamping jaw carriages which are coupled to the guides and driven in the second direction. Two clamping jaw carriages each are associated with a guide and at least two clamping jaw carriages separated from one another in the first direction are coupled to one clamping jaw, respectively.

The storage container has a separating device including a plurality of channels and a retainer for preventing drugs from slipping into a channel aligned with a dispensing opening. The separating device includes an annular groove and the retainer includes a positioner that engages in the annular groove of the separating device and fixes the retainer vertically. The retainer also includes a retaining section and a holder. The holder secures the retainer against a concurrent rotation with the separating device and aligns the retaining section with the dispensing opening by the holder interacting with a circular cylindrical section of the housing.

The gripper has a tray table extending in a first and a second horizontal direction with an end portion with an arcuate front extending in the second direction, the end portion forming the loading and unloading front and wherein the tray table and the end portion define an upper bearing surface. The gripper further includes a transport device arranged above the tray table and movable in the first horizontal direction for moving drug packages from a horizontal storage surface onto the tray table, and at least one sensor coupled to a control device and arranged in the end portion below the bearing surface and capable of determining the presence of a drug package in its detection area.

Abstract: Methods for operating a picking devices for medicaments are provided. An image of a movement space detectable by an optical detection device is created with an optical detection device inside the picking device after a predetermined event. Predetermined areas of the image of the movement space are compared with corresponding areas of a reference image, and based on the comparison it is determined whether an obstacle is present in the detected portion of the movement space. Based on the determination of the presence of an obstacle, corresponding signals are provided to prevent a movement of the operating device and/or request a removal of the obstacle by a user. Picking devices for medicaments are also provided.

Abstract: Methods for measuring and verifying drug portions while avoiding the need to teach verification devices is provided. Characteristic key data of a drug type are compiled with a calibrated camera of a measuring device, stored in a storage device, and retrieved from or transmitted to a verification device. Individual key data for a drug portion to be verified are compiled using a calibrated camera of the verification device and compared with the characteristic key data. A digital image of a drug portion to be verified is generated with a calibrated camera and transferred to a control unit. The control unit determines individual key data for the drug portion to be verified using known calibration parameters of the camera and the digital image, compares the individual key data with characteristic key data of the corresponding drug type and verifies or rejects the drug portion based on the results of the comparison. Systems and computer readable medium are also provided.

The singulating device is electrically conductive at least at an outer surface of the singulating device, and the outer surface comes into contact with drug portions. Abstract: Devices for separating piece goods such as pharmaceutical product packages to be stored in a picking device are provided. The device includes a feed device for piece goods, a recording device for recording 3D images of piece goods, a control device for evaluating 3D images and for determining a piece good to be picked, a conveyor for picking a piece good, a deposit surface, and a lateral recording device. The control device is configured so that the orientation of the picked piece good is ascertained and the preferred storage surface is established and that the conveyor is activated in such a way that a picked piece good is situated on a preferred storage surface on the deposit surface. The storage container includes a housing, which encloses a receptacle chamber having a guide section, wherein an inner wall of the guide section defines a circular-cylindrical guide chamber. A singulating unit is arranged in the guide section of the housing having a central axis of rotation. The singulating unit has a main section and multiple projections, wherein each projection has two end sections and a middle section. One pharmaceutical duct is formed between each two end sections of adjacent projections, wherein the middle sections of the projections are recessed and one or both end sections of each projection bear on the wall of the guide section. Gaps between the singulating unit and the inner wall allow pharmaceutical dust to fall through to avoid pharmaceutical dust formed during singulation causing increased friction between the singulating unit and the wall of the storage container.

Abstract: A method for providing a singling device of a storage and dispensing container for drug portions is provided. A singling device is adapted to a specific drug portion based on the measurement of the drug portion. The measurement is obtained by generating at least one image of a to-be-measured drug portion by a detection device and using image analysis to process the at least one image. Drug information for the specific drug portion is determined, the drug information including at least the dimensions of the specific drug portion. Based on the determined drug information, a singling device fitting the drug portion to be singularized is identified and provided for use in the storage and dispensing container. A system for identifying a singling device is also provided.
