Abstract: The invention pertains to a tube plate made of stainless steel for exhaust heat exchangers, with punched openings to hold the tube ends of a tube bundle, wherein the openings preferably have a rectangular cross section and are arranged grid-like with a web width b. Each of the openings has a shear surface with height h produced by punching, and which is adjoined by a bevel of depth t, that is manufactured before punching, and wherein the height h is roughly the same as or smaller than the web width b.
Abstract: The invention relates to a coolant circuit for a motor vehicle having an engine and a radiator. The coolant circuit includes an exhaust gas heat exchanger and enables engine coolant coming from the radiator to be supplied directly to the exhaust gas heat exchanger. In a preferred embodiment, coolant coming from the radiator and/or from the engine can be selectively supplied to the exhaust gas heat exchanger via a changeover device.

Abstract: An airflow control device for air streams in a motor vehicle air-conditioning system includes an installation frame with pivotable lamellae (2) that are driven by an electric motor via a gear mechanism arranged on the outside of the frame. The gear mechanism comprises a plurality of cylindrical gearwheels (9 to 12) arranged one above the other, so as to be very narrow and such that the overall dimensions of the housing (5) for the gear mechanism do not exceed the width and height dimensions of the frame (1). This novel arrangement allows integration of the drive as a whole and minimizes the amount of space required.
Abstract: The device is used to cool a vehicle appliance, in particular a battery or a fuel cell, by means of a coolant. It has a plurality of identically designed cooling elements, through which coolant can flow, which can be brought into bearing contact to cool at least one component of the vehicle appliance. It includes a first cooling-element side and a second cooling-element side which is on the opposite side from the first cooling-element side. The cooling-element sides have connection openings, which form inlet and outlet openings for the coolant and are in communication with the interior space of the cooling element. In this arrangement, it is provided for the first and second cooling-element sides each to have at least two connection openings.

Abstract: Disclosed is a heating and/or air-conditioning system for a vehicle and a method for adjusting a recirculating air fraction of the inlet air delivered to a passenger compartment of a vehicle in order to avoid exceeding a predetermined limit value of at least one air parameter, in particular the carbon dioxide fraction and/or the humidity in the passenger compartment air. The method provides that one or more secondary parameters be obtained and analyzed for indirect determination of the air parameter, and that the recirculating air fraction be adjusted as a function of the analysis.

Abstract: A heat exchanger (1) consists of a plurality of disks (4) which are assembled to form a heat exchanger block or disk stack (16) and which are formed in each case from sheets (22) joined together in pairs and enclose between them at least one cavity designed as a duct. The cavity is delimited by the insides of the sheets (22). In the duct, an internal fluid flows in the longitudinal direction of the disks (4) and, on the outside of the disks, an external fluid flows transversely to the direction of flow of the internal fluid. Each sheet (22) has elevations (26, 33′) out of the disk plane, which are formed by material deformation and are directed both into the inside of the disk and toward the outside of the disk, the elevations (33′) directed toward the outside of the disk being configured as elongate stamped-out portions.

Abstract: A folded multi-passageway flat tube is disclosed, which is made from a flat sheet metal strip and has folded webs and a longitudinal seam. Through-openings for improving the heat transfer and for generating transverse flow are provided in the folded webs. The through-openings are advantageously made by punching in the flat sheet metal strip, that is to say before folding, and are made congruent after folding. These folded multi-passageway flat tubes are preferably used for refrigerant condensers in motor vehicle air-conditioning systems.
