Abstract: A remote call notification system for incoming calls to a wireline telecommunications device. The system includes a switch, a service control point, an intelligent server, and a monitoring module all in communication with each other. The remote call notification is transmitted to a remote communication device such as a PC, an interactive pager, and a mobile phone. The call notification includes a calling number, the name of a calling party, time and date identifiers, status identifiers that provides a real-time status of the incoming communication, a disposition identifier, and a priority identifier. A remote call notification method including detecting an incoming communication to a subscriber's wireline communication device, creating a remote call notification, assigning an access address associated with a remote communication device, and forwarding the remote call notification to the remote communication device.

Abstract: One embodiment of a representative system for web integrated interactive voice response includes an interactive voice response system adapted to provide a plurality of voice menus to a user over a telephone and a graphical user interface system adapted to provide a plurality of menus in a graphical format to the user over a network connection. Information provided in the voice menus corresponds to information provided in the menus in the graphical format and is responsive to commands received by the graphical user interface system from the user. Abstract: One embodiment of the present disclosure is a method for assessing complexity levels in data representations. Such a method can be broadly summarized by the following: obtaining a first document having information associated with a data representation being used to model a concept and at least a second document having information associated with a data representation being used to model the same concept; analyzing structural components of the first document and the second document to assess a level of complexity in the data representation associated with each of the first and the second documents; and determining which of the data representation of the first document and the data representation of the second document has a smaller level of complexity. Abstract: Selected embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems, methods and media for receiving prospective indication information and processing the received prospective indication information to generate result information. In certain embodiments, among others, a user is prompted to provide the prospective indication information, and at least a portion of the prospective indication information is converted into a common measurement system format and subsequently balanced in combination with other prospective indication information in the common measurement system format to generate balanced combination result information. Abstract: An audio caller identification system and method are provided. A caller identification device of a called party's telephone, whether integrated with the telephone or stand-alone, includes a speaker for audibly alerting the called party to the nature of an incoming call. A speech synthesizer in concert with an audio caller ID program may audibly identify a name and/or number of the calling party displayed on the called party's caller ID device, including descriptive terms for calling parties such as “private,” “unlisted,” or “out of the area.” When the called party's telephone begins to ring, the called party may listen to the audio identification of the calling party for a quick screening without having to go to the telephone to read the caller ID.
