  • Publication number: 20240239349
Abstract: A system, e.g., an autonomous vehicle, includes a sensor suite, a controller, and a computer-controllable device. The sensor suite collects user data descriptive of the present emotional state of a human user, such as a passenger of the representative autonomous vehicle. The controller executes a method to control the system. In particular, the controller identifies the user's psychological mode of experience in response to the user data. The controller also selects one or more intervening control actions or “interventions” from a list of possible interventions based on the mode of experience, and then controls an output state of the device to implement the intervention(s). In this manner the controller is able to support or modify the mode of experience of the user.

  • Patent number: 11958006
Abstract: Virus and microbe-killing, self-sterilizing resistive heated air filters and methods of making and using same methods. The air filter is includes laser-induced graphene (LIG), a porous conductive graphene foam formed through photothermal conversion of a polyimide film (or another source or source of polymer or other LIG precursor material) by a laser source. The LIG in the air filter can capture particulates and bacteria. The bacteria cannot proliferate even when submerged in culture medium. Through a periodic Joule-heating mechanism, the filter easily reaches greater than 300° C. This destroys any microorganisms including bacteria, along with molecules that can cause adverse biological reactions and diseases such as viruses, pyrogens, allergens, exotoxins, endotoxins, teichoic acids, mycotoxins, nucleic acids, and prions.

  • Patent number: 11809423
Abstract: An automated interactive optimization method of short keyword queries for improving information retrieval from opaque (black box) search engines is disclosed. The method requires collecting data from several fact-checking websites, for creating dataset used for evaluation; estimating the relevance of posts/query results retrieved from a search engine to a given input document, by calculating the mean relevance error (MRE), based on estimating the minimal distance between words comprising both the retrieved posts and the input document; labeling a subset of claims for evaluation, by choosing a number of claims that gained the maximal and the minimal mean relevance error (MRE); and finding the most appropriate queries in order to retrieve the maximal number of relevant posts using an opaque search engine, by performing an interactive greedy search for the best word that should be added to the input query, for maximizing the corresponding posts retrieved by the search engine.

  • Publication number: 20230214496
Abstract: The knowledge generation apparatus (2000) obtains a plural pieces of attack result information (100), which includes a configuration of an attack performed on the computer environment, a configuration of the computer environment attacked, and a result of the attack. By comparing the obtained attack result information (100), the knowledge generation apparatus (2000) detects environment conditions, which is regarding the configuration of the computer environment that are necessary for the success of the attack. The knowledge generation apparatus (2000) performs selection on the detected environment conditions based on a selection rule (200), and generates the knowledge information (300) that includes the selected environment conditions. The selection rule represents a rule for determining whether to include the environment condition in the knowledge information (300), with respect to a feature of a set of attacks that are affected by the environment condition.
