Abstract: A system and method for analyzing a service provider of a retirement plan and comparing the service provider against the service providers associated with a group of similar plans is disclosed. In one embodiment, a computer system for evaluating a service provider of a retirement plan comprises a computer server having a database comprising a plurality of data defining a plurality of characteristics of each of a plurality of retirement plans, software configured to identify a subset of the plurality of retirement plans having characteristics comparable to characteristics of the selected retirement plan in view of the type and characteristics of the service provider, software configured to permit the selection of at least one report providing the comparison of the service provider, and software configured to automatically generate and deliver the selected at least one report to a user for display on a user interface.

Abstract: A system and method for isolating electronic data and generating enhanced data. A data subscription unit receives data having plural data formats from data source devices. The data may be received pre-filtered or filtered by the data subscription unit. A modeling unit may receive the filtered data from the storage databases, may determine eligibility of the stored data based on eligibility criteria, sort the eligible data based on at least one sorting parameter, adjust and/or normalize the eligible data based on at least one adjustment parameter and/or an aggregate value for a data attribute, generate data metrics over a defined set of time periods based on the eligible data, generate further data metrics based on the data metrics, and derive specified values from these metrics. A data distribution device may transmit or make available the data metrics, further data metrics and values to remote devices.

Abstract: An amusement game wherein a pointer element attached to a vertically oriented rail is raised to the top of the rail and released by a latch and allowed to fall. A player is provided with a controller that sends a signal to stop the pointer element as it falls from the top of the rail and the player tries to stop the travel of the pointer so it aligns with a selected target region. If the player successfully stops the pointer within a designated target area, a corresponding score is awarded. In embodiments, the location of pointer is detected by an optical sensor and encoder bar, and the system to stop the fall of the pointer includes an electromagnet attached to the pointer. In embodiments, after play, the pointer assembly is returned to the top of the rail by a drive belt that is powered by an electric motor.
Abstract: A method for establishing timing and processing of network messages in a wireless ad-hoc network comprising: establishing a network identification (ID) when the wireless ad-hoc network is unestablished; and establishing a local timing in the wireless ad-hoc network, the local timing having a network data frame structure, each network data frame in the network data frame structure having a plurality of network slot times, wherein each network slot time is designated as one of an assigned network slot time or a shared network slot time, each wireless node in the wireless ad-hoc network designated as one of an assigned wireless node or an unassigned wireless node, each assigned wireless node initiating and transmitting network messages in a corresponding assigned network slot time or any available shared network slot time, and each unassigned wireless node initiating and transmitting network messages only in any available shared network slot time.
Abstract: A system and method for determining a score reflecting the use of force that a police officer applied in an incident, comprising a computer system for collecting, storing and processing data relating to an incident involving the police officer's use of force in one or more interactions within an incident; the computer system iteratively generating scores for each use of force interactions within the incident; the computer system comparing the police officer's use of force score, whether overall or for an interaction to a score for a group of officers; and, the computer system generating a risk score by running a model based on the use of force score.
Abstract: A method for forming and a carbon fiber barrel sleeve resiliently bonded to steel liner includes providing a rifle barrel having thickened walls and a mandrel blank. Each of the barrel and blank are turned to form a barrel liner and a mandrel, respectively, such that each has a substantially identical contour. The barrel liner is stress relieved to eliminate stresses within the molecular structure of the barrel liner. A plurality of flutes are cut into an exterior surface of the barrel liner; the depth of each flute being at least equal to the depth of the flute. A plurality of layers of carbon fiber fabric are laid up on the mandrel to form a sheath which is cured and bonded to the barrel liner with a continuous bond of high temperature adhesive at tips of the fins. The bonded sheath and barrel liner forming a rifle barrel.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining a risk score reflecting the risk that a police officer may be involved in an adverse event in the future having a computer system preprocessing data to create residual features; the computer system iteratively running models using the collected data and residual features; the computer system identifying the model that best predicts whether a police officer may be involved in an adverse event in the future; and, the computer system generating a risk score by running the model.
