Abstract: A method for treating epilepsy in humans which comprises administering stiripentol to a patient under antiepileptic treatment with usual drugs in order to alleviate or prevent side effects. The invention also provides an antiepileptic composition comprising stiripentol.

Abstract: A method for the treatment of amoebiasis in humans, comprising administering to a human patient suffering from amoebiasis a therapeutically effective amount of yeasts of the genus Saccharomyces. The yeasts are preferably lyophilized, and are administered at a daily dosage level of 0.5-10 g. The species Saccharomyces boulardii is preferred.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preventing or treating pseudo-membranous colitis in a patient submitted to antibiotic treatment by means of Saccharomyces yeasts.
