  • Publication number: 20040140137
Abstract: In order to develop a vehicle seat with a seat frame for the mounting of a sitting area and with a supporting frame, which keeps the seat frame at a predetermined distance from the vehicle floor and connects the vehicle seat to the vehicle floor, in such a way that the seat supplies information on the weight of the occupants which is substantially uninfluenced in particular by the conditions which are very difficult in terms of measuring technology and the other special ambient conditions within a vehicle, it is proposed that the supporting frame comprises a height-adjusting device, in order to vary the distance of the seat frame from the vehicle floor in a defined way, that at least three load cells which respond to a weight acting on the sitting area and supply a signal corresponding to the weight are disposed at the corner points of an imaginary polygonal area, the signal corresponding to a weight resulting from a distance measurement, and that the load cells respectively have a one-piece force transducer

Abstract: In order to form a device for detecting and preprocessing weights acting on a vehicle seat in such a way that it can be used in particular in conditions which are very difficult in terms of measuring technology, and in particular under the other special ambient conditions within a vehicle, and the weighing signal of which is substantially uninfluenced by this and can consequently provide a reliable parameter for airbag activation, it is proposed that this device comprises at least three load cells, which are disposed on load-carrying parts of the vehicle seat at corner points of an imaginary polygonal area and in each case generate a weighing signal corresponding to the weight, and an electronic evaluation circuit, which receives and preprocesses the weighing signals of the load cells and generates an output signal based on the weighing signals, the evaluation circuit comprising an evaluation function with which a localization of the center of gravity of the weight acting on the vehicle seat can be carried ou

  • Publication number: 20030053835
Abstract: In order to enable those parts of the transporting device that come into contact with the strip of printing material in a printing device used for printing on printing material in the form of a roll, especially label and/or receipt rolls, to be easily replaced from the freely accessible insertion side of the strip without requiring subsequent adjustments, it is proposed that the printing device should comprise a print head unit, a transporting device for the printing material and a structural housing board on which the print head unit and the transporting device are mounted at one end in cantilevered manner and in a predetermined relationship relative to one another, wherein the transporting device comprises a stiff support member which is rigidly connected to the housing board, a mounting member which extends substantially parallel relative to the housing board and is held on the stiff support member, and at least one transport roller for the transportation of the strip of printing material which is mounted

  • Patent number: 6024149
Abstract: In order to make it possible to change over quickly and easily to different label sizes and shapes in a labeling apparatus for the application of labels to packages and goods comprising a label dispensing device and an air-blast labeling device, wherein the label dispensing device supplies labels individually from a supply to the air-blast labeling device and wherein the air-blast labeling device has an underpressure chamber with a suction plate having a plurality of openings for drawing in the labels supplied by the label dispensing device, a source of compressed air with a compressed-air distributor which has an air-blast plate arranged adjacent the suction plate and provided with a plurality of openings, as well as a compressed-air pulse generator which directs a blast of compressed air from the source of compressed air through the air-blast plate of the compressed-air distributor and through the suction plate against the label held by the suction plate in order to release this from the suction plate and c

  • Patent number: 5860343
Abstract: A slicing machine for foods includes a circular knife with a peripheral cutting edge mounted rotatingly in a substantially vertical position on a machine housing. The knife defines a substantially vertical cutting plane. A knife protection ring is secured to the machine housing and surrounds a substantial portion of the cutting edge. A carriage for receiving a product to be cut is mounted on the housing on one side of the cutting plane for reciprocating movement in a direction parallel to the cutting plane. A scraper is arranged on an opposite side of the cutting plane to cover part of a face of the circular knife. The scraper is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis defined by a pivot bearing so as to be pivotable from an operating position to a cleaning position. The pivot axis is arranged above the center of the circular knife essentially horizontal and parallel to the cutting plane.

  • Patent number: 5780777
Abstract: In order, in a weighing device, in particular for use in high-resolution scales, comprising an elastically deformable force transducer, a sensor arrangement for converting the deformation of the force transducer caused on account of a force F acting on the force input section of the force transducer into an electrical weighing signal and a processing unit for calculating a weighing signal corrected by the hysteresis error of the force transducer, to be able to realize a correction of the hysteresis error even with the short-term load variations occurring in practice in high-resolution scales at an acceptable cost, it is suggested that the sensor arrangement comprise a first testing unit for the high-resolution determination of the weighing signal "S" and a second testing unit for the determination of the elastic deformation of the force transducer in small time increments (high time resolution), wherein the processing unit corrects the high-resolution weighing signal of the first testing unit by the hysteresi

  • Patent number: 5747744
Abstract: In a weighing device for the point-of-sale of a retail outlet with a reading device installed therein, the following measures are taken: Only a single weighing cell in the form of a bending bar is provided and as far as possible is disposed laterally offset in a stationary manner on the scales stand. The support for a load plate of the weighing device is designed to be intrinsically rigid and in the vicinity of its one edge is rigidly connected to the bending bar such that a window provided in the load plate and in the support is held cantilevered over the scales stand. On the scales stand the reading device lies on the one side and an electronic evaluation circuit lies on the other side of the bending bar. The electronic evaluation circuit with microcomputer and analog-to-digital converter carries out an automatic weight determination and price calculation of the weighed article.
