  • Patent number: 7503374
Abstract: A winder is provided near a quarter window of a rear door. A shade member is drawably mounted about the winder. A connecting piece is connected to a drawing arm and mounted to the rear portion of the shade member. A shoe is mounted to a bottom end of the drawing arm. The shoe engages with a regulatory groove extending in a drawing direction of the shade member. A driving cable is connected to the shoe. The shade member can be drawn out across the window by the drawing arm via the sending out of the driving cable by an operating mechanism. Since the regulatory groove extends substantially in a circle, when the shoe moves through engagement with the regulatory groove, the connecting piece connected to the drawing arm pivots relative to the shoe.

  • Publication number: 20080216973
Abstract: A drive arrangement for roller blinds of motor vehicles is provided. The drive arrangement includes a housing that contains a chamber for accommodating a spring steel band that is pre-formed in a spiral shape in a similar manner to a clockwork spring. The spring steel band is equidistantly perforated in the longitudinal direction and moves over a drive gear that is configured similarly to a barbed wire and driven by a geared motor. The projections of the drive gear engage with the holes of the spring steel band.

  • Patent number: 7396067
Abstract: A rear window roller blind for motor vehicles which has a pull rod assembly with a contoured plate. The contoured plate is used to close the segmented residual gap between the straight pull rod assembly and the curved top edge of the rear window. In order for the contoured plate to lie flush with a rear shelf below the rear window when the roller blind is in a retracted position, it is pivotable about a longitudinal axis of the pull rod assembly during movement of the pull rod between its retracted and extended positions. Such rotational movement is controlled by the contour of guide rails within which the pull rod is guided during such pull out movement.

  • Publication number: 20080142172
Abstract: A roll-up sunroof shade is provided that includes two guide rails running along the sides of the shade sheet. The shade sheet is cut wider than corresponds to the clear distance between the guide rails. While being pulled out, the shade sheet is forced by an appropriate geometry at the inlet end of the guide rails to form a tube-like loop around a piping member that moves along with it. Due to the wrapping of the piping member, the shade sheet is held in place perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the guide rail.

  • Publication number: 20080142173
Abstract: A window shade for the triangular window of a rear side door of a motor vehicle is provided which includes a guide rail that extends substantially over the entire bottom edge. In the vicinity of the winding shaft, either a pocket is present or the guide rail from there becomes after a short transitional arc a section that runs at a slant. The sliding body of the slide that runs in the guide rail is rotated appropriately to align the connection arm of the slide parallel to the window post.

  • Patent number: 7354087
Abstract: A loading-space protection device includes a holding unit, in which at least one winding shaft for winding up or unwinding a flexible sheet-like structure is mounted, and fastening means for securing the holding unit in a functional position, fixed on the vehicle, in mounts on the vehicle. At least one fastening means is assigned at least one securing means which is mounted moveably in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a blocking position, which blocks the fastening means in its fastening position within the mount on the vehicle in an interlocking manner, and a rest position, which is disengaged from the fastening means, in such a manner that severe longitudinal accelerations of the vehicle, in particular positive or negative accelerations in the form of a front or rear impact, lead to the securing means being displaced into the blocking position.

  • Publication number: 20080078513
Abstract: A roll-up window shade for motor vehicle windows is provided that has guide rails running at the side of the extended shade element. A linear push element is provided for each guide rail. Each push element is driven by a separate gear. Therefore, complicated guide tubes, which among other problems generate a lot of friction, are eliminated. A trunk cover has a guide rail on each side of the shade element. For driving the shade element, a push element is provided for each guide rail. The push element is constructed as a non-endless drive element. Each push element is driven by a separate motor and a separate gear. Electrical synchronization of the motors is not provided.

  • Publication number: 20080073041
Abstract: Two drive gears are provided as an extension of the guide rails for driving a roll-up window shade for a motor vehicle. The drive gears are coupled to the winding shaft in a rotationally elastic manner. The driving is carried out via a geared motor, which acts either on the gears or on the winding shaft. The positioning of the drive gears as an extension of the guide rails avoids the guide tubes used in prior art arrangements. Thus, the friction losses found in the prior art, which consume up to 80% of the drive force, are avoided. Furthermore, manufacturing is simplified because the connection tubes having a complicated shape are not needed.
