    Abstract: A soleplate for a steam iron includes a plurality of beads. Each bead incorporates therein at least two steam outlet openings. The steam outlet openings located on the side close to the outer edge of the soleplate are larger than the steam outlet openings located on the side remote from the outer edge of the soleplate. The larger steam outlet openings are arranged in the front portion of the soleplate, with the smaller steam outlet openings arranged in the rear portion. The number of steam outlet openings per bead increases towards the pointed end of the soleplate.

The course of the beater element (3, 22) is substantially subdivided into a first section (4, 7) in the extension of the drive shaft (2), a second section (5, 8) extending substantially transversely to the drive shaft (2), and a third (6, 9) section (6), with the first (4, 7) and third (6, 9) sections extending so that their ends (10, 11 or 12, 13, respectively) starting from the drive shaft (2) lag behind their other ends (23, 24 or 25, 26, respectively) in the direction of rotation (U) of the beater.

    Abstract: A brush section (24) for an electric toothbrush in which a rotary shaft (34) is received which is adapted to perform an alternating or a rotary motion. Mounted on the brush section (24) is a rotary bristle supporting structure (38) having its axis of rotation (54) disposed at about right angles to the axis of rotation (52) of the shaft (34). The shaft (34) receives movably therein a rod (102) disposed approximately parallel and eccentrically. In an annular shoulder (61) of the bristle supporting structure (38), a pin (112) is held, extending approximately parallel and eccentrically to the axis of rotation (54). The pin (112) is passed through an eyelet (103) provided at the free end of the rod (102) and is movable therein. When the shaft (34) is caused to perform a rotary or alternating motion, this motion is transmitted to the bristle supporting structure (38) through the rod (102), the eyelet (103), and the pin (112).

    Abstract: A housing of a hand-held blender includes a wall fabricated from a first plastic material having at least one outer surface. The housing is further provided in at least one area with at least one second plastic material whose hardness is lower than the hardness of the first plastic material. The second plastic material is molded onto the inner surface of the wall by injection molding, such that a first area of the at least one area projects from the inner surface of the wall at least in individual sections, forming bearing areas. These bearing areas serve as supports for drive, control and switching devices. With this arrangement, the housing affords particular ease of manufacture while at the same time performing a damping function, improving the manipulation and reducing the noise level of a hand-held mixer while in operation.

    Abstract: A handheld blender, such as, for example, an immersion blender, includes a motor assembly and a tool assembly releasably connectable to the motor assembly. The tool assembly includes a tool shaft and a tool shank rotatably receiving the tool shaft. The motor assembly has a drive shaft and an approximately U-shaped expansion clamp. The tool shaft is structured to be non-rotatably coupled to the drive shaft when the tool assembly is connected to the motor assembly. The tool shank has a mounting groove, wherein the tool assembly is connected to the motor assembly by the approximately U-shaped expansion clamp engaging the mounting groove of the tool shank. To release the tool shank, the expansion clamp is displaced by a push button in the direction of an opposite push button having expansion surfaces on which the legs of the expansion clamp ride up, thus disengaging the expansion clamp from the mounting groove. To urge the tool shank away from the motor assembly, the push buttons have beveled surfaces.
